12:15 LRL 1st PENSIVELY (#2, 5-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Dan Illman). | Get PPs for this race
1:18 AQU 4th FLY RIGHT (#1, 6-1) sat a good trip throughout that debut at Saratoga before gamely driving through to a short lead in the stretch, but he was only second-best when all was said and done; got in too tough in the Pilgrim last time over yielding turf; good post returning to the MSW ranks. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race
1:20 WO 1st BUTTERED TOAST (#2, 8-1) is taking on the boys off a wide-closing third behind Fish Mooney, who subsequently ran second in an N1X for distaffers with an 80 Beyer. She's a good fit here Beyer-wise and has some speed to run at. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race
1:40 LRL 4th URBAN BANDIT (#7, 5-1) moves from turf to dirt and drops into a claimer for the first time. Tried to rally from out of it two back in a race where they ran one-two all the way around (runner-up returned to finish second in a special weight with a 48 Beyer). -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race
1:46 AQU 5th COMMAND POINT (#12, 8-1) ran well in all four NY starts at the end of last year vs. some better horses; was off the long layoff when down inside and finishing evenly at Saratoga, then regressed a bit in her next start; has races ti get back to that would make her tough in here if she can pull a trip from the outside post. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race
2:16 AQU 6th WILL SING FOR WINE (#2, 10-1) was returning from a long layoff when catching a sloppy track and failing to fir a good one last month as an MTO entrant; has won second off the layoff twice before; major player with his good race and he is tactical. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race
2:53 WO 4th SILVER SMOKE (#3, 6-1) set a fast pace before tiring over an anti-speed track last time in a seven-furlong off-the-turf tilt. He was previously beaten a neck on the inner turf and may have found a field that he can wire in this 6 1/2-furlong Tapeta sprint. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race
3:18 LRL 7th Curious to see what we get from NATHAN DETROIT (#2, 8-1) as he tries a true sprint for the first time in his 24-start career. Looked good winning here around two turns over the summer as he saved ground at the back, was on hold turning for home, angled outside and charged past the leaders. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race
3:45 GG 2nd PICK BYMY FRIEND (#6, 8-1) drops to his lowest claiming level in this $5,000 race for maidens after mixed results in his last three starts. Pick Bymy Friend was second by a head and a nose in late August and mid-September, but was not a factor on Oct. 21 on turf after a wide trip. A return to the synthetic track and class relief could make the difference. -Steve Andersen | Get PPs for this race
4:15 GG 3rd TIP TOP GAL (#4, 10-1) has not won in a year, but did finish a fair second in an allowance race at six furlongs on Sept. 17. This appears to be a tougher field, but also one loaded with pace which will help Tip Top Gal's late run. She is well drawn in post 4 for that style. -Steve Andersen | Get PPs for this race
4:28 WO 7th TWIN CITY (#2, 12-1) placed in each of his first three outings, including the rich Simcoe Stakes, before graduating over 1 1/16 miles under Boulanger three weeks ago. His tactical speed might be as asset in this nine-furlong route for Canadian-breds, which seems wide open aside from the presence of favored PHILIP MY DEAR. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race
4:37 GP 9th Not sure if MOPED DENNIS (#1, 8-1) wants to go this far or how he will handle running on a synthetic surface. However, if he runs as well as he did running on turf when he finished second to Brazillionare in a key race at Belmont that produced three next-out winners, he will be tough to handle. -Randy Goulding | Get PPs for this race
5:15 GG 5th CIVIL SUIT (#1, 6-1) drops to her lowest claiming level in this $12,500 race for non-winners of two and the class relief may lead to her second win. Winless in six starts since May 2020, Civil Suit was a fair second in her 2022 synthetic track debut on Sept. 2. -Steve Andersen | Get PPs for this race
5:28 WO 9th GREEN FLEET (#5, 12-1) lacked room on the turn before finishing on the edges last time in a seven-furlong sprint at this level in his first try off a $15K claim. Routing is his specialty and he should be prominent in the $25K claimer around two turns. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race
