Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook; something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day's action. 12:54 LRL 2nd BALLYKEEN (#13, 6-1) stumbled leaving the gate in seasonal debut, then quickly advanced to track at 60-1 shot (finished last) through a quick quarter of 22.43. Advanced in between to the lead with two furlongs remaining, then faltered a bit late to finish behind the two favorites (O Shaughesey returned to finish second in an off-turf quarter "beaten" claimer with a 49 Beyer). Improved in second of the form cycle last year so think she can take a step forward for this, her second after a 155-day break. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 1:24 LRL 3rd MUCHO LOVE (#2, 9-2) goes out for barn that sent out two juvenile debut winners (Flight of Bourbon at 6-1; Cavalry Command at 3-1) at Laurel last summer, and hails from the family of Arlington Million winner Hardest Core and champion 2-year-old Gilded Time. It appears he's been working with stablemate Divine Magic, who was scheduled to debut here on Friday. Picks up aggressive gate rider. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 1:38 GP 3rd With just a couple of starts MI CORAZON (#1, 6-1) should have some upside and her last race was slightly better than it looks on paper as she steadied late. She drops into a straight claiming race for the first time and could be sitting on peak performance here. -Randy Goulding | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:32 BEL 4th FERAL'S JOY (#4, 10-1) showed potential in his lone start as a 2yo when looking green early and then putting in a solid late run behind a front-running winner; landed in a strongly-run lace last time off the bench and once again finished up with interest behind an odds-on winner; well-bred colt has a nice stride on him and can improve quickly not that he has some experience. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:26 LRL 7th CROUCHELLI (#8, 10-1) continues to drop in search of his correct level. Fell far behind for $20,000 last month, saved ground on the turn, eased widest in midstretch, and failed to impact. He is a one-run closer that had little chance the way that pace shook out, but there is a concern he'll face a similar situation. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:34 BEL 6th WINGS LIKE EAGLES (#1, 8-1) is 0-5 on turf to this point, though the overall record does not reflect her level of competence on this surface as she has endured her share of unlucky trips along the way; broke her maiden over this distance on dirt, and she was likely best in her only turf start going seven last summer when totally blocked in the stretch; running out of chances but should be a fair price here. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:09 GP 8th PARIS PEACOCK (#1, 9-2) was good enough to beat 15 horses in a Group 3 in Ireland last year and then was thrown to the wolves in her first start in North America in the Grade 1 QE111 Cup. She took a step forward in her latest and could be coming around to the form that she had in Ireland last year. -Randy Goulding | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:20 WO 7th DUKE OF LOVE (#2, 6-1), last year's Prince of Wales Stakes winner, has been working right along in preparation for his first start since the fall and has fired when fresh twice before. He could wire this accomplished conditioned allowance field under regular rider Stein. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:40 BEL 8th MEOW MEOW HISS (#8, 12-1) was let go at a big price in her debut early last month at Gulfstream and never really threatened in that spot, though she looked green early while getting caught wide, and actually made a run in the stretch before winding up missing fifth; threat to improve quickly at a price. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:01 SA 3rd This $100k turf stakes for 3yos, previously one mile, is lengthened to a mile and one-eighth. The distance does not help several with uncertain finishing ability. The call to upset is MALIBU COAST (#4, 6-1), who ran his final quarter-miles in less than 24 seconds every turf route last season. He should start at a big price off a tough-trip last-place comeback. -Brad Free | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:12 BEL 9th MINAUN (#4, 15-1) will need to catch a break or two perhaps in order to get the job done here, though she does appear to be best sprinting, and not sure those shorter races at Gulfstream and Keeneland really suit her; was impressive winning her first six-furlong start over Belmont turf in her stateside debut before trying to stretch out; needs some pace and a trip but will be a price and had little chance in that last one after getting bumped hard at the start in a race that wasn't coming back. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 7:37 SA 8th Lightly raced KINGDOM HEART (#7, 4-1) faces a tougher field than the Turf Paradise N1X field he crushed last out, but the the sharp sprinter can fire right back. He remains eligible to an entry-level allowance because he earned only $13k winning at TuP; the N1X cutoff at SA is $15k. -Brad Free | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 7:53 GG 7th There is enough speed in this allowance race at five furlongs on turf to give DERRYGOOLIN (#9, 6-1) a chance for a win in her debut in such a race. Unraced in nearly four months, Derrygoolin had an excellent span of form last fall, winning two consecutive starts on turf and following with two close second-place finishes, all around two turns. She will be closing from an outside post in this field of eight. -Steve Andersen | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 8:24 GG 8th LORD WIMBORNE (#6, 8-1) can play a late role in this conditional $4,000 claimer at a mile, particularly if the 7-year-old gelding can break well, which has not been the case in several recent races. Lord Wimborne won a race at this level in late January and was fourth after a wide rally in his most recent start on April 21 after a slow start. Evin Roman takes the mount for the first time since August 2021. -Steve Andersen | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
