Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 1:13 PIM 2nd Trainer Hugh McMahon is 4 for the last 11 (36%, $6.92 ROI) moving them from dirt to turf sprints following layoffs of 120 days or greater, and he enters A GIRL NAMED JAC (#9, 8-1) on the weeds for her seasonal debut. By turf champion Point of Entry (14% with first-grass performers), she has sufficient pedigree to handle the surface and shows a bullet workout from the gate here last Sunday. Finished ahead of two nextout winners in final start at three (Margie’s Heaven returned to win two in a row with Beyers of 69 and 71, respectively). -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  2:02 BEL 3rd KING JAMES (#1, 6-1) had some speed in his dirt debut, but only to chase the frontrunning winner while three-wide throughout, and he ultimately weakened in the late stages; switches right over to turf for his second start and he has the pedigree to handle it being by Nyquist (3 for 12 so far with his turf sprinters) and out of the multiple stakes-winning turf sprinter Inspired. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  2:19 PIM 4th INVEST (#4, 5-1) didn’t have a very smooth trip when entered for this starter allowance level two starts back. He broke slow, then was sent up to prompt the slow pace while five paths wide. He bounced out of there with more alacrity when dropped into a claimer over this course and distance and was very game to deny two stretch challengers after battling for the early lead. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  2:36 TAM 5th D’CRAZINESS (#10, 5-2) disappointed as the favorite in that last one in an admittedly favorable spot but he also was stuck down inside for much of the running and he was making up ground late; seems to land in another very good spot in terms of pace scenario and may be able to make the last run here with clear sailing from his outside post. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  2:54 GP 5th KEITANY (#9, 8-1) is coming off a drop-down maiden score for $16K, from which he was claimed by a trainer with excellent numbers first-time off the halter switch. Sutherland takes over and has been riding the turf with confidence at the meet. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race  3:08 TAM 6th SPARTY SENSE (#9, 20-1) is kin to one minor (dirt) winner and his dam posted her lone win on the main track but this colt’s trainer, Georgina Baxter, does very well both with firsters and with turf sprinters; works suggest he has some speed. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  3:25 PIM 6th ROYALIAN (#4, 10-1) carried a good amount of ground in recent one-turn mile at Laurel. He stalked four wide in the five or six path on the backstretch, advanced four deep on the turn and stayed on to pick up some pieces in the stretch. He seems to be improving slowly with each start, but looks like the kind of runner that needs a bit of pace help up front. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  3:40 TAM 7th THATS JUST HEARSAY (#7, 10-1) is up in class after finishing off the board against cheaper in her debut but she endured a deceptively tough trip there, breaking widest of 12 and then stalking a quick pace in a race which set up well for the closers; may be the controlling speed in this one, which seems to feature a much different race flow. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  3:58 PIM 7th DON’T CHARGE IT (#4, 5-1) succeeded with the dirt to turf switch at Delaware in 2019 and will try to duplicate that move on Sunday. Although unraced since New Year’s Day and listed as a vet scratch at Penn National on Feb. 3, this mare has run some solid races on the turf, including a less-than-ideal journey against better entry-level allowance types at Delaware last fall. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  4:08 BEL 7th In one of the strongest N1X fields for 3yos you’re likely to come across, you may want to make sure you get a fair price, no matter which direction you find yourself heading. FINDING FREEDOM (#6, 9-2) doesn’t have the credentials that some of his rivals do in this spot, but this colt looked good winning his debut over weaker at Tampa and earned a solid figure in the process; appreciate that he kept close to a strong pace in that race and still had something to finish with in the stretch. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  4:32 GP 8th Paco Lopez appears to have had several options here and has sided with ESPECIALLEA (#8, 8-1), a gelding he rode in an authoritative maiden victory March 24. He’s a good fit in this optional starter Beyer-wise and appears to possess some upside. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race  4:40 BEL 8th VAULT (#1, 6-1) failed to break off the layoff in January but she bounced back quickly and got very unlucky in her next start when going early to take over and falling to a late-to-first winner; was strong in victory last time over a solid field and can handle this step up in class. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  5:38 GP 10th TRINNI SUMMER (#3, 9-2) has improved nicely with each subsequent start since returning from a mid-winter freshening, and might be poised to put it all together in this contentious $16K maiden dash. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race
