With most other North American sports being shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic, we hope the sport of horse racing can entertain you during these trying times. Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.

34 GP 2nd W W CANDY (#7, 7-2) stretches out to a mile for the first time and should appreciate the extra ground, given his pedigree; no chance in his latest due to the race flow and overmatched in his career bow against Maiden Special Weight company. -Kenny Peck

34 GP 2nd APACHE (#1, 3-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Marty McGee).

07 GP 3rd Seems there’s a lopsided amount of early gas in this interesting turf dash for N3L fillies and mares, so it’s to the advantage of PALACE TWO STEP (#6, 8-1) and Juarez in settling into a smooth early rhythm before making her move; lots of different ways this one could unfold. -Marty McGee

11 GP 5th LA TRES JOLIE (#2, 3-1) goes turf-to-dirt when dropping in class, a combination that makes her quite the possibility in this first leg of a brand-new Rainbow 6; looking for Saez to save ground while spying the earlier goers in earnest. -Marty McGee

15 GP 7th That was a breakthrough victory last month for SHARED LEGACY (#6, 6-1), a full brother to the great Shared Belief, and now Rosario sees fit to take over for the still-injured Paco; given all the opposing speed signed on here, the steady kick he’s developed could serve him well in his first try vs. winners. -Marty McGee

47 GP 10th The old class horse QUIJOTE (#10, 9-2) gets Irad, an outer post, and a snugly-fitting $35k tag after surely needing his futile-chase effort behind a run-off winner at the end of the championship meet; all set for a return to the promised land to conclude the day’s proceedings. -Marty McGee
