DRF's Horse Racing Playbook for Sunday, March 30, 2025

DRF Staff|Mar 30, 2025
Gulfstream Park dirt racing, 2018
Barbara D. Livingston First post for Gulfstream racing is scheduled for 12:50 p.m. ET on Sunday.

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.

2:27 GP 4th AYMAN (#9, 10-1) spit the bit last out but was trying two turns for the first time. The blinkers come off as this guy returns to sprinting and perhaps that leads to a more relaxed approach. Popular runner draws outside and does like this surface. – Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race

3:10 OP 4th SEVEN FLAT (#4, 5-1) was second for this price and at this distance last time and is a logical choice back. He also has a high percentage trainer-jockey team in Amoss and Bejarano. – Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race

4:29 SA 2nd JOINT VENTURE (#4, 6-1) gets an easier pace scenario in this $25k claiming route than the $16k claimer in which he finished second last out. 'VENTURE was hounded through a hot pace (:45.61 half-mile), shook off his rivals, then got collared by a last-to-first winner. Fine try by 'VENTURE, who was claimed by Bob Hess Jr. and wheels back two weeks later in a race he figures to control. He is the only true speed in this five-runner field. – Brad Free | Get PPs for this race

4:45 GP 8th CHILLAX (#8, 12-1) hit the gate in his debut and that alone is a viable excuse. We like that connections want two turns after trying seven panels in his debut. Works are perfect all for team Mott who are 14% going sprint to route. This Godolphin runner could be anything. – Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race

5:02 AQU 8th MAJESTIC FRONTIER (#6, 5-1) is a DRF Best (Mike Beer). | Get PPs for this race

5:20 GP 9th TOP RECRUIT (#9, 8-1) just got a nice confidence boost and now puts three races together. He has speed on the stretch-out and is more likely than not to find the front end today. Back class is easy to see. – Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race

5:50 GP 10th MILDRED PIERCE (#2, 9-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers). | Get PPs for this race

6:30 SA 6th KING STEPHEN (#7, 7-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Brad Free). | Get PPs for this race
