Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 12:15 TAM 1st MIAMI CHROME (#4, 12-1) hasn't hit the board since the maiden win back in May of last year but he has been running very well in defeat of late, making stretch runs while too late to threaten; he was also compromised by a wide trip in his latest but he can spring the upset today given a better trip, as today's extra distance figures to work to his distance. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  1:09 LRL 2nd LET US MAKE GOLD (#3, 10-1) returns to the circuit after a few good tries at Charles Town. Outrun along the rail behind a hot pace going two turns earlier in the month, he lost momentum when running up onto heels at the five-sixteenths pole. Swung widest turning into the stretch and was running on in the lane behind next-out winner Rrace Day Warrior (entry-level allowance at Charles Town with 74 Beyer). -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race 1:32 GP 2nd NEGLIGENCE (#7, 20-1) has been facing more expensive and while unable to threaten in 4 starts he got closer last time out vs. $16K foes. He drops another peg, showed more speed, has worked well since and gets more ground and maybe he's ready to turn the corner. Seven of his 9 sibs to race are winners including Bellamy Way (18-5-5-2, $314K, SP), Cut to Order (54-10-6-9, $208K, SW), Goombada Guska (35-6-4-5, $333K, 3 SWS, 3 SPs) and Itsagoodtendollars (42-10-10-10, $444K, SP). -Michael Hammersly | Get PPs for this race  2:01 GP 3rd PURE SPEIGHT (#7, 5-1) set a pressured pace before giving way here last time out Feb. 6 but that was his first route and maybe that's not his game. He's back to sprinting and his maiden win came on this synthetic track, too. He returns as a gelding, gets blinkers and has worked superbly of late. -Michael Hammersly | Get PPs for this race 2:23 AQU 3rd KAZ SUGAR BANK (#1, 6-1) debuted sprinting at Penn National last month and wound up briefly contesting the early pace after a good start, before falling in behind the lead around the turn and then moving out and finishing gamely for second-best; bred to handle this added ground, being out of Apple Blossom and Go for Wand winner Spun Sugar. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race 2:38 LRL 5th Perhaps stakes-placed MY BOSS (#6, 5-1) will be ready for top effort in third try following 177-day layoff. Battled with 27 to 1 shot Miss Central (finished sixth) and held well in a race that went to closers in her first start of the year. Prompted the pace last time while racing well off the rail and flattened out just a bit in the final furlong. Turns back slightly with the speed to be close to the lead once again. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  2:52 AQU 4th KAZ'S BEACH (#4, 10-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Beer). | Get PPs for this race  3:02 OP 3rd FIRST LINE (#2, 4-1) is appealing as a five-time winner and also seems like one who can be closer to the pace than he found himself in his most recent start. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race  3:23 AQU 5th ALWAYS AWARE (#5, 10-1) ships in to make her career debut for a trainer who does a nice job with horses like this - first time starter, dirt, sprint, MSW: 7 for his last 28, 25%, $3.05 ROI; Street Sence filly is out of a dam who won the first two starts of her career and this is the female family of King's Bishop winner Tale of the Cat. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race 4:00 SA 1st Second-time starter HOT LEGS ROMOLO (#7, 4-1) can upset this five-furlong turf sprint for Cal-bred maidens. Though he finished sixth in his debut, he actually ran well. Off slowly from the rail, he zoomed forward to duel inside a three-way jam, hung tough to the furlong pole and tired. Now he moves outside (post 7 of 9), and shortens from 6f to 5f with a race under his belt. -Brad Free | Get PPs for this race 5:23 TAM 11th SHIVAREE (#9, 8-1) cuts back from longer races and he may be able to make the last run in the Sprint Stakes given a clean trip from this outside post; no threat in the Fred Hooper in his latest but this seems like a better distance for him, and if the race flow works to his advantage he may be good enough to get up in time at a square price. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race 5:55 TAM 12th LAZARA (#4, 12-1) checked at the start of her debut and that cost her, as she lost position immediately and she never recovered; she's worked well enough in the interim and with a slight move forward in her second career start she can win this, although an alert getaway would certainly help. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  6:08 SA 5th HIGHLY DISTORTED (#4, 4-1) can spring a mild upset second start following a long layoff and facing easier in this starter allowance than he met in his $40k claiming comeback. 'DISTORTED ran like a horse that needed a race. He chased the pace three-wide and simply ran out of gas in the lane. The lightly raced 7yo veteran (only eight starts) is likely to improve second start back; his 2020 form is fast enough. -Brad Free | Get PPs for this race  8:12 SA 9th A wide-open N1X turf mile ends the card. GLESGA GAL (#9, 6-1) missed by a half-length last out in a similar spot; this is the improving filly's third start back. Tepid choice only in a deep field. KUORA was claimed for $50k from a fifth-place finish by a hot stable. A five-time winner with figures fast enough for this level, she should be running late. -Brad Free | Get PPs for this race
