Post Time: 1:20 ET Track: Gulfstream (3rd Race) Horse: JAYHAWK (#5, 12-1) JAYHAWK is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Welsch). | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 1:45 ET Track: Fair Grounds (1st Race) Horse: CLEARLY CREDO (#2, 6-1) CLEARLY CREDO won her career debut at Delta Downs - but I don't think she likes that track. Her form jumped forward upon leaving last summer, and I'm treating the two recent post-layoff races there in that light. Excuse those and you've got a fair-priced contender. – Marcus Hersh | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 2:22 ET Track: Gulfstream (5th Race) Horse: EDDIE HASKELL (#2, 6-1) EDDIE HASKELL ran huge in his debut on the turf, caught the dead rail trying dirt and seven furlongs in local bow. Switches to Tapeta, worked well for this. – Mike Welsch | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 2:39 ET Track: Tampa Bay Downs (5th Race) Horse: CHEFETA (#5, 10-1) CHEFETA was behind a few of these same runners in her debut but she did run into some traffic trouble in the lane and she was moving well through the wire, galloping out well after the race; fully expecting a better effort from her today given a clean trip, and she figures to be overlooked some in the wagering. – Kenny Peck | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 3:15 ET Track: Aqueduct (5th Race) Horse: SASSY SATS (# 4, 4-1) SASSY SATS is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Beer). | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 3:35 ET Track: Oaklawn (6th Race) Horse: HENRO (#7, 12-1) HENRO ran a big race on the cutback from two turns last out and the sprint went in good time. He's a two-time stakes winner and a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Street Band ($1.1M). – Mary Rampellini | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 4:03 ET Track: Santa Anita (2nd Race) Horse: BROOKLYN BLONDE (#5, 7-2) An okay runner-up comeback by BROOKLYN BLONDE makes her the one to catch as she stretches to a mile against a modest field of 3yo maiden fillies. Her comeback was her first start in nearly six months, she ran like a filly that can improve second start back. She set/pressed the pace before she was collared by stablemate Piney Woods. 'BLONDE is quick enough to make the lead in this dirt mile, and probably the one to catch. – Brad Free | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 4:15 ET Track: Fair Grounds (6th Race) Horse: RUNNIN MUNNIN (#3, 6-1) RUNNIN MUNNIN is a DRF Best Bet (Marcus Hersh). | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 4:19 ET Track: Aqueduct (7th Race) Horse: SUNDAY GIRL (#6, 6-1) SUNDAY GIRL started out 6 for 8 on dirt, with both losses coming on wet tracks, and she was an open stakes winner before a short layoff last March; not sure why she was switched to turf last summer, though she did wire a NY-bred stakes race on that surface; ran an underrated race back on dirt in the Iroquois while facing tougher than this, before catching another wet track in November, and she did not get the right trip when behind two of these same rivals last time; contends with her good race, and she will be a fair price. – Mike Beer | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 4:45 ET Track: Fair Grounds (7th Race) Horse: UNITAS (#7, 5-1) UNITAS debuted in blinkers, showed pretty good speed, only really lost momentum the last half furlong - fifth by almost nine but, to me, still ran an encouraging enough race. That's especially true if you imagine the dirt sprint as practice for this move to turf. His sister, after all, is Medoro, a graded-stakes class turf mare who campaigns for the same connections. Worked back three times and is in line from this outside draw for a favorable stalking trip. – Marcus Hersh | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 4:52 ET Track: Aqueduct (8th Race) Horse: SARATOGA SUNSET (#4, 15-1) SARATOGA SUNSET might have been facing tougher in that open $25k maiden claimer that was dominated on the lead in her debut; she was outpaced at the start of that race, then spent the last 3/8ths of a mile or so racing in traffic; eligible to improve quickly as she moves into a state-bred maiden claimer and stretches out with Lasix and blinkers on. – Mike Beer | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 4:53 ET Track: Gulfstream (10th Race) Horse: BILLAL (#3, 5-1) BILLAL has some very big races on resume' mixed among some disappointing efforts including last one when returning locally for first time this season. Added blinkers two back, ran huge behind Tour Player who was winning for third straight time all with 90 plus Beyers that day. Was also a head better than Tap Into This who has won 4 of last 5 including restricted stakes with 96 Beyer last time at Oaklawn. Best good enough to beat these. – Mike Welsch | Get Past Performances for this race Looking for more action? It’s easier than ever to pick a winner with DRF Newbie.
