He should take some beating this time with Wilson back in the saddle. -Ron Gierkink 2:36 GP 6th STARSHIP MALLOMAR (#2, 4-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Marty McGee). :: Bet the races online with DRF Bets. New members get $250 bonus 3:10 GP 7th RESIDENT LIBERAL (#3, 8-1) stands a chance to suddenly awaken for Eppler when shrewdly spotted for this $12.5k tag; steady mid-70s Beyers suggest he’ll be very competitive here, especially when tripping out well from his inner post under Camacho. -Marty McGee 3:42 GP 8th Pretty well-matched one-turn mile for open-$30k 3yos could get its winner from most anywhere, but will side again with Ralph when taking LURE HIM IN (#5, 6-1), assuming more careful early rating from Jaramillo; the last-out speed show in an off-the-turf mile for $40k differed from some of his earlier efforts when he showed off-pace ability. -Marty McGee 3:59 BEL 6th FRIDAYBEERS (#6, 6-1) debuted sprinting on dirt in February and tired behind repeat winner Tapizearance after showing some early speed; switches to turf making his first start for Rudy and has some pedigree to handle it being by underrated turf sire Tapizar and out of a dam whose four career wins all came on the grass. -Mike Beer :: Get the DRF GamePlan Playbook each day with a DRF+ Pro subscription. She doesn’t possess much turf breeding, but could strike again after attending what figures to be a slow pace in this six-furlong tilt on the main course. -Ron Gierkink 5:17 WO 9th WESTERN TAFFY (#3, 6-1) ran well in both of her turf outings, most recently when a wide fifth in a good optional claimer at the Fair Grounds--the winner came back to lose a heartbreaker in an open allowance at Churchill, and the ninth horse subsequently won a $25K NW2 claimer at Tampa. -Ron Gierkink :: To stay up to date, follow DRF on: Facebook | Instagram | Twitter 5:35 LS 4th SONOMA CRUSH (#8, 5-1) exits a key race, with the winner coming back in his next start to account for a $7,500 starter allowance at Will Rogers Downs with a Beyer Speed Figure of 85 and the third-place finisher, a $5,000 claimer at Fair Grounds with a Beyer of 64. –Mary Rampellini 5:36 BEL 9th GIACOSA (#4, 10-1) only earned a Beyer of 38 when beaten over 13 lengths in her lone start as a 2yo but she actually ran pretty well in that race while outrun early and then being unable to get out to the clear in the stretch; second off the layoff after an improved 3yo debut behind a front-running winner. -Mike Beer 5:48 WO 10th LORD OF LEGENDS (#3, 8-1) battled three-wide for the lead on the turn and then put away the other speed before tiring in the final furlong in his deceptively good comeback on the Tapeta. He could take some catching in his turf debut, at what should be a square price. -Ron Gierkink 7:37 LS 8th MOCITO ROJO (#7, 9-2) could get an ideal setup behind the ample amount of speed in this race, the $75,000 Lone Star Park Mile. The seven-time stakes winner also leads the field in earnings. –Mary Rampellini 7:37 LS 8th RUNAWAY GHOST (#8, 12-1) has ample talent to beat this group and should get a great setup, albeit at odds, I’d guess, lower than the morning line. - Marcus Hersh :: Want to get your Past Performances for free?
