Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 1:00 BEL 1st KARMA'S WARRIOR (#1, 12-1) debuted for this tag going six and never had a chance after getting caught behind a rival dropping back sharply through the opening furlongs and dragging this gelding right out of contention with him; was left with way too much to do after that and never had a real chance to recover; facing a couple of MSW drop downs here as he stretches out but deserves another chance. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  2:07 MTH 5th EXAGGERATEDDEFENCE (#9, 6-1) is the first starter out of the dam, who won four of 10 starts, including her first try on the grass; debuts for trainer Cathal Lynch, who excels with firsters, and those last couple of works at Delaware Park were excellent. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  2:10 CBY 1st EL JEFE COBB (#4, 6-1) is by a 14% debut sire. His dam went 15-5-3-2 and earned 231K. Four of six sibs won. That June 5th work which was 4th best of 45 intrigues us to no end. This debut runner draws fine and doesn't face a whole lot. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race  2:17 WO 3rd WARP RIDE (#5, 12-1) is shortening up off back-to-back, front-running top-three placings vs. N1X sophomores on the Tapeta. His sire was a G1-winning turf sprinter in Australia, and his dam produced the stakes-placed grasser Acting Out. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race  2:49 WO 4th KIDDIE HOLIDAY (#9, 10-1) got bogged down running on a dead rail last time in a bounce-like performance over seven furlongs. The son of Ami's Holiday is moving out to try two turns on the Tapeta, his preferred trip, and could make some noise at a square price. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race  2:53 LRL 5th AUDACIOUS QUALITY (#9, 10-1) looked good downing entry-level allowance rivals in second start of 2022. Worked out a nice inside-out closer's trip behind a sharp pace, but readily went by the leader in the final furlong to win going away. This is a big class hike, but he appears to be getting good at the right time, has the recency advantage over some of the big names in this race and should offer some value on the tote. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  3:03 BEL 5th SYNONYMOUS (#4, 10-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Beer). | Get PPs for this race  3:03 MTH 7th MEROKEE (#5, 8-1) was never able to get involved in that turf sprint last time out, getting away slowly and then steadying again soon after, and with winner controlling the tempo from the start on a loose lead he was unable to make an impact; fourth-placed finisher Marathoner was also off the pace there, and he came back to run 2nd at Belmont at a big price in his return on Thursday. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  3:13 LAD 2nd TOOL BOX (#3, 5-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers). | Get PPs for this race  3:34 BEL 6th VIOLENT POINT (#3, 6-1) was no factor in two turf sprints last month, the second of those while up in class; better on this surface and capable of factoring vs. this kind of field at a fair price with her good race; has the tactical speed to fall into a trip. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  3:59 MTH 9th THOMOND PARK (#5, 8-1) was moving well through the lane in that paceless race against similar last time, making him an easy horse to like right back for trainer Derek Ryan; he doesn't win all that often but two of his three career wins have come over this course and he is an upgrade candidate off that last one. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  4:15 GP 8th SANDY DUDE (#3, 9-2) well spotted off the maiden win and career top Beyer number, just a matter of whether he bounces off the try back in relatively short order. Figures forwardly placed throughout. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race  4:27 MTH 10th ON THE COME UP (#4, 10-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Kenny Peck). | Get PPs for this race  4:37 LAD 5th TRUE BLONDE AUNTIE (#3, 10-1) is by a 1 for 8 debut turf sire. Her dam went 5-1-0-1 on the green for 9K. One of two sibs won on the grass with the other having hit the board. That winning turf sib is 1 for 1 on the green and earned $6,900. This filly gets off the rail and figures a good price all on a surface she might like. HAVE I EVER ran great in her only turf try which came two back. She draws best and just figures. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race  4:48 GP 9th MORNING COCKTAIL (#1, 15-1) in new hands while switching back to Tapeta over which she ran bang up second behind Six Feet Apart earlier in the season, the latter a close second against $40K starter allow. types recently at Woodbine. Need only repeat that effort to beat these. Figures on or with pace if away clean from fence. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race  5:05 LAD 6th MO VODKA (#2, 8-1) did face better early in his career. He broke his maiden in his most recent and that was his first start around two turns. Is this guy a new route horse? Connections again want two turns. Local works are just fast. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race  5:10 CBY 7th COST A FORTUNE (#4, 9-2) just wen too fast in the early going previously and it was only her second start on the grass. This 3YO is not bred to like the green (204 turf Tomlinson). She won for fun two back on the dirt at Oaklawn and got a Beyer top of 75 in the process. What if her most recent was better than it looks all while helping her get acclimated to here? We like that connections once again find a spot where this filly can't be claimed. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race  5:30 HST 2nd JUVEE TOO (#1, 4-1) was impressive winning both of his races with 10-pound apprentice Angela Straight aboard and the popular rider retains the mount. JUVEE TOO came from a stalking position in his first victory and with plenty of speed in the field we will assume similar tactics will be employed. -Randy Goulding | Get PPs for this race  5:40 CBY 8th FAT AND FURIOUS (#2, 6-1) won his debut even though it was on the grass and around two turns. That is just tough to do. His second start was not quite as good but it was on the dirt. Lots and lots of local works can only help. A return to the turf is what we like best and the price should be solid. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race  5:44 BEL 10th STEERAGE (#1, 8-1) a firster by underrated turf stallion Astern (24% with turf sprinters, 11% with first time starters; homebred colt also has some turf on the bottom of his pedigree and he debuts for a hot trainer with Lasix on. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  6:30 HST 4th PARKER POINT (#4, 5-1) is stepping up in class, but he sure looked good winning his first start this year and he closed out 2021 with two solid efforts going around three turns. He has only raced nine times so he could have some upside and with a sharp interim work he could be sitting on a big effort in his second start back. -Randy Goulding | Get PPs for this race
