Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 12:32 TAM 1st PINO IN A PURSE (#4, 9-2) was behind a couple of these in her local debut but she wasn't pushed hard in the late stages once it was clear she would make no impact in that speed-dominated sprint, and she galloped out with interest; can turn the tables given a better set up. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race 1:23 LRL 3rd O SHAUGHESEY (#4, 5-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Dan Illman). | Get PPs for this race  1:33 TAM 3rd ANNIE UP BUCK (#1, 12-1) seemed to get a useful tune-up for this in that elongated sprint last time out, making up some ground through the lane while not being asked for much run and running well enough through the wire; gets the rail and catches a seemingly paceless field for the move to two turns, which seems to be her best game. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  1:40 GP 4th URANIUM (#7, 7-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Ron Gierkink). | Get PPs for this race  2:15 GG 1st BOLD DAUGHTER (#5, 6-1) has won her last two starts and is being given a slight class hike for this conditional $8,000 claimer. The six-furlong distance should work, particularly if any sort of pace develops for her to pursue. Bold Daughter must continue to show improvement against several other sharp fillies and mares to extend the winning streak. -Steve Andersen | Get PPs for this race  2:19 LRL 5th JACK GAVE BACK (#1, 8-1) is a proven commodity over this circuit, and he returns to Laurel after facing odds-on, gate-to-wire winner Over and Thunder in vain at Penn National (third-finisher from that race returned to place third in a dime "three-life" there with a 61 Beyer). Tracked outside, couldn't step with the runaway on the turn and stayed to his task for second. He'll need a little bit of pace to attack, but graduated over this one-turn mile, and the long stretch could work to his advantage. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  2:22 AQU 5th PRICING POWER (#3, 6-1) made a belated debut last October at Keeneland, where he failed to break sharply before racing up to contest the pace for a long way in a race that fell apart late; in a good spot for his second start and has all the upside. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race 2:39 GP 6th ALPHA BLUE (#6, 9-2) led the way before fading to fifth in a recent route experiment in his second Tapeta try in as many races. The son of Air Force Blue is bred for the dirt on the dam's side and is sent out by a successful route/sprint trainer. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race  3:19 LRL 7th CRUSH IT (#1A, 8-1), listed as a Penn National vet scratch on 11/22, returns from 67-day layoff, and must overcome a tough outside post. Nice effort two back over "good" going to earn career-best 87 Beyer. Prompted the pace in between, pressed three wide, went after the leader from the outside on the second turn, and was too good. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  3:35 TAM 7th DATAMAN (#5, 7-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Kenny Peck). | Get PPs for this race  3:40 GP 8th BO DEREK (#7, 5-1) cost $900K as a yearling so she must have looked like a 10 at the Keeneland sale. She faded from a pace-pressing position to end up fourth behind future stakes winner Red Carpet Ready when debuting in the slop at Churchill. The daughter of elite older sire Speightstown and a Galileo mare is bred for the grass and is adding Lasix after working fast at Palm Beach Downs. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race  3:49 LRL 8th I ONCE STOOD ALONE (#1, 12-1) didn't run a lick to close out 2022, but it's worth noting that his best Beyer Speed Figure came in his only other run with Lasix, and he'll get the anti-bleeding medication this afternoon. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  4:20 AQU 9th NAKED AND FAMOUS (#2, 9-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Beer). | Get PPs for this race  4:30 SA 4th TAKE CHARGE CURLY (#2, 6-1) can upset in this maiden-40 mile as he stretches out from a tough-trip third at LRC. Making his first start since being gelded, he broke slowly, lost position, did not have a clean run, but finished willingly in a better-than-looked effort. Improved since he was gelded, he can score a surprise. -Brad Free | Get PPs for this race  4:35 TAM 9th LIZQUEENFLUERDELIS (#9, 6-1) was off the board in her latest but she caught the eye in defeat, as she stumbled at the start, steadied on the turn, and still was closing well through the lane; capable of a big move forward with a clean trip. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  6:44 GG 10th NAUGHTY NADINE (#10, 9-2) does not have the best post on the outside of this field, but her stalking style is effective and can be an asset in this large field. The key is for jockey Frank Alvarado to save some ground through the first quarter-mile. A winner of two of her last three starts, Naughty Nadine can race within a length of the lead or farther back, depending on the pace. -Steve Andersen | Get PPs for this race
