Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 12:05 GP 1st BAHAMIAN RHAPSODY (#10, 8-1) just missed second when third among two nextout winners while dropping to this $25K maiden level second-time out Dec. 9. She’s worked twice since and should take some beating if she continues to improve. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 12:20 AQU 1st REPO ROCKS (#1, 4-1) is just about out of chances at this level but he has been competitive vs. some better horses while sprinting on dirt, even while lacking the stamina necessary to hang with those rivals late; one more chance while adding lasix for the first time. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 12:25 LRL 1st RUBBER BAND (#6, 7-2) is a full brother to stakes-winning dirt sprinter Follow the Dog and a half-sibling to stakes-winning dirt sprinter Clever Mind (also a debut winner) by a sire that connects with 23% of older (3-year-olds and upward) first-time starters. The dam is a half-sister to Grade 1-winning turf router Illuminant while the second dam is a multiple stakes-winning turf sprinter. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 12:35 GP 2nd CHAMBERLAIN (#2, 9-2) recently switched trainers off another double-digit loss, and is descending to a new low in his $12.5K seller. He worked a bullet half-mile the other day and might go to the lead and never look back. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 12:50 AQU 2nd SHE SO NAUGHTY’s (#3, 6-1) faster races have come over turf but she has run well on both surfaces and posted her only win over the main track two starts back when rained off; entered for dirt for the first time since her career debut last May and is back at the right level for Rudy - turf to dirt, sprints, Aqueduct, non-maidens: 8 for his last 34, 24%, $3.77 ROI. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 1:12 TAM 3rd DENY (#7, 7-2) seemed well spotted in that last one, forwardly place in a race lacking speed, but while he did falter late he may not have cared for the extra ground, and that sprint did come up very fast for the class and distance, with the runaway winner posting a Beyer (71) that was well above par (61); cuts back a sixteenth of a mile for this and dangerous here if he’s able to run to the effort he turned in two back, when he closed nicely in a paceless race. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 1:35 GP 4th CAT’S J N J (#6, 9-2) ran well in two of his last three outings, finishing a distant second at 26-1 most recently in an identical spot under Meneses. The 64 Beyer he got when beating NW2 stock three back exceeded the Beyer par of 61 for this level. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:16 TAM 7th BAHAMIAN MOON (#6, 4-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Kenny Peck). | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:23 LRL 7th PROUD MANDATE (#4, 5-1) disappointed somewhat as the 8 to 5 favorite last time out as she was hard-ridden on the turn before being forced wide turning into the stretch. Once straightened out for home, she tried hard to salvage a dead-heat for the place. Although she hikes up from $5,000 to $10,000, one could argue this is a class drop as that last “beaten” condition was dominated by seven-time winner I’m So Munny and she now races against straight “non-winners of three” sellers. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:52 TAM 8th IDLE TIME (#7, 10-1) closed with some interest despite racing behind slow fractions in his most recent, at Gulfstream, and he should get a better race flow to chase in his return to Tampa, which is where he started his career; may need to post a career-best figure to win this but he could be sitting on just that in the third start of his form cycle, and if finally given above-average fractions up front. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:23 TAM 9th BIG CITY RALPH (#2, 9-2) and WICKED STRONG ALEX (#4, 5-2) seem to hold the edge on the others in here, and I’ll use them both equally when it comes to multi-race exotics. The former looms a better price, however, and therefore gets the nod as the top pick; he doesn’t have the Beyers of WICKED STRONG ALEX but he has had pace excuses in recent tries, and he may well prefer two turns, which he gets again today. The latter was no threat when third in his latest but that was an exceptionally fast race, with the winner posting an 80 Beyer at a level where the average winning figure is 59; strong try two back, when he closed in a paceless route, only adds to the appeal. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:23 LRL 9th LOVE IS STRONG (#6, 4-1) adds Lasix and stretches out in distance after an improved performance going seven-eighths of a mile. Saved ground at the back, eased out turning for home and finished in a one-paced manner. Her sire connects with 16% of dirt-route performers compared to 10% winners overall. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:17 GP 11th EXPONENTIAL (#1, 9-2) has a host of improvement angles going for him in this $35K maiden route, including first-time gelding, blinkers on, and first-time Lasix. He was second two back at GPW behind a rival who came back to capture a $50K optional starter with a 66 Beyer. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
