2:37 GP 6^th Defaulting to the power of the Big 3 of Todd, Chad, and Christophe when tabbing (in that order) the first-timers they'll send down from their winter training bases for this first division of a turf mile for MSW 3yo fillies. Leading off with ALHAAN (#5, 4-1), whose home-cooked Shadwell pedigree (by Kitten's Joy out of a Rahy mare) more than screams "Grass!"; factor in the time she's been given to grow into herself and her extensive work slate, and it's apparent she's all set. - Marty McGee | Get PPs for this race

4:26 AQU 10^th KHALI MAGIC (#6, 6-1) didn't seem to want that longer distance last time while able to make the lead on a modest pace; better sprinting and has races that would make her tough in here as she cuts back. – Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race

5:10 OP 8^th IMPROBABLE JOURNEY (#2, 10-1) has recency on some of his chief rivals in this spot. He also exits a quick race for which the talented winner earned a Beyer Speed Figure of 102. 6:06 SA 6^th The best horse in this mile-and-a-quarter turf G3 has not raced in more than a year. He is SAY THE WORD (#8, 4-1), a three-time graded winner who runs fresh, handles the distance, and likes SA turf. 7:42 SA 9^th MECKLENBURG (#6, 5-1) can win this N2X turf mile if he has better luck than his nightmare trip last time. He stumbled at the break to be away last, got rank and took off chasing the leaders, was hard-held pressing the pace three-wide, and finally tuckered out in the stretch.
