12:49 GP 2nd FIFTY ONE FIFTY (#2, 6-1) is going to get there one of these days and this race didn't come up that tough for the level. This gelding is capable of a Beyer in the 50s which fits. What if the short layoff helped? His return try came going a tough seven panels yet this guy beat over half the field home at 6-1. The full furlong cut back might help some too. – Scott Ehlers

1:18 GP 3rd MAGIC SLIPS just (#8, 5-1) didn't fire in his first start here but we see that quite often with Woodbine shippers. They often bounce back in their next start. We like that Davis stays put and he is 25% for team Casse. Class drop looks like the tipping point. – Scott Ehlers

3:19 GP 7th BONUS MOVE (#3, 6-1) is bred to love a turf sprint with his Tomlinsons of 384 and 395. This colt got a 91 Beyer when first on this sod. There is some speed in this race but this colt could be quickest. Form cycle hints at better as this guy puts three races tougher for the first time. If needed, this guy can pass runners as his most recent demonstrates quite well. – Scott Ehlers

4:08 AQU 7th BLOWN COVER (#5, 5-1) might need a career-best off the layoff but has faced way tougher than this since winning on debut, including in the $50k claimer at Keeneland two back when in against now-stablemate Yo Daddy, who has won three times since then with Beyers of 88-90-93; tried sprinting off the claim at Saratoga to no avail and needed more time off immediately after. – Mike Beer

6:37 SA 8th The third-place finish by IRISH PROPHET (#2, 4-1) last out in a fast N2X turf mile could give him the advantage stretching to a mile and one-eighth. He will stay the distance; his career-best race was at this distance over the SA course. The winner (El Potente) of the race he exits was scheduled to start as a top contender Saturday in a G3. Easier company here for 'PROPHET. – Brad Free

7:08 SA 9th Facing an apparently soft field of maiden-claiming 3yos, first-time starter CODE BREAKER (#4, 4-1) gets the call off a decent workout pattern and a trainer who can fire with firsters. Dean Pederson won with 3 of his last 4 debut runners. The dam of 'BREAKER won her career debut; her three foals to race finished first, second and third in their debuts. However, progeny of stallion CODE BREAKER rarely win first out (7 for 144 all ages, just 4 percent). Top choice nonetheless. – Brad Free
