Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 1:02 TAM 2nd CHIQUIRIN (#7, 12-1) weakened after prompting the pace in his latest but that was a race featuring some fast splits, and it set up well for the closers, and he was hurt by the wide post in a limit field two back; dangerous if he can take back and make one run. -Kenny Peck 1:10 GP 1st TRUTH AND HONESTY (#8, 6-1) goes second out for new barn and cuts back to a sprint but you can see that, right? Did you notice that there is a goodly amount of speed in this race? This guy should trip out best and this outside post only helps with that. This guy tries a shortened sprint for the first time but his 424 distance Tomlinson says he might love it. -Scott Ehlers 1:53 BAQ 2nd FLASH KISS (#8, 12-1) earned some competitive figures early on before missing time; steadily improved upon his return late last year and scored with a 67 Beyer two starts back going a mile; got bumped at the start and wound up keeping close to a strong pace before giving way last time; cuts back. -Mike Beer 2:04 TAM 4th GUARANTEED SPECK (#6, 6-1) closed with some interest in that return to the main track in his latest and he seems to be well spotted here in terms of race flow, as there's a fair amount of speed in this field and he may be best of the closers; may be able to make the last run if the splits are quick enough. -Kenny Peck 2:14 GP 3rd REVOLU (#3, 8-1) just missed two back and did so at 18-1. Granted, she only faced four foes but it was still a better try. She regressed last out but there is a reason why horses are at this level. She adds two furlongs today and has some speed so perhaps she is the one to catch. We like that Reyes keeps the faith and there is a class drop to consider. -Scott Ehlers 2:36 TAM 5th NUNOFTHISNUNOFTHAT (#5, 12-1) makes her turf debut today but her dam posted both of her two career wins on the grass, and her lone foal to start outside of this filly posted a pair of wins on the green, including her debut on the surface; she's at her best when she's able to come from off the pace, and there should be enough pace in this field to set her up. -Kenny Peck 2:45 WO 4th COMMANDER JOE (#6, 15-1) worked a bullet five-eighths in company the other day and could be rejuvenated in his 6yo season. He had a bit of a wide trip over an inside-favoring track when fourth in his last start in December. -Ron Gierkink 2:46 GP 4th GO GO GE (#2, 15-1) tried the turf for the first time last out and ran evenly before tiring late even though his turf breeding is marginal at best. We think this colt is improving and will take another step forward with a return to the synth. This barn is 19% going turf to synth. Class drop might prove the tipping point. -Scott Ehlers 3:00 BAQ 4th AMERICAN GENTLEMAN (#6, 15-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Beer). 4:22 OP 6th SWEET SODDY J (#5, 6-1) is proven class as a stakes winner. -Mary Rampellini 5:26 OP 8th MEDIA MOGUL (#5, 8-1) races beyond a mile and a sixteenth for the first time and is bred to appreciate the added ground he gets at this mile and an eighth trip, which is considered a separating distance. He is a half-brother to champion and Belmont Stakes winner Arcangelo ($1.7M). -Mary Rampellini 5:37 BAQ 9th GEM MINT TEN (#2, 8-1) improved when switched to turf last year while managing to handle several different distances; lone win came sprinting but he just missed in his first two routes and also ran well in that Spectacular Bid in June when caught behind horses for a long way; has to be ready off the bench. -Mike Beer 5:45 GG 2nd SAREEHA (#1, 9-2) is undefeated in three starts on turf since being claimed for $25,000 at Del Mar last September. The most recent win was a starter allowance-optional $8,000 claimer at a mile on April 12 in which she closed from fourth to win by a comfortable 2 3-4 lengths. Sareeha starts from the rail in this field of six and should get a stalking trip behind expected leader Turiaf. -Steve Andersen
