Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. Post Time: 1:43 ET Track: CD 3rd Horse: BABY HELLO (#3, 12-1) Wonder if BABY HELLO isn't even a turf horse, though all four of her starts came on turf. The last two were not good at all, the most recent especially, perhaps a blinkers experiment gone awry. She did show speed two and three back and goes well down in class from two restricted MSWS and a $50K maiden-claimer to $20K - maiden droppers with speed a good angle. Seems like the CDT surface had played pretty quick this spring, but nonetheless the 4/9 workout time looks quick for a horse at this level going over that track. – Marcus Hersh | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 2:26 ET Track: GP 4th Horse: IL ALCHEMYSTA (#1, 6-1) IL ALCHEMYSTA just won when first out for new barn and did so going long. So why does this guy cut back to a shortened sprint? His distance Tomlinson of 400 screams short sprint. This colt loves this Tapeta. Team D'Angelo are 21% on the cut back and 20% with their repeating winners. – Scott Ehlers | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 3:31 ET Track: WO 5th Horse: VAMOS VIEJO (#1, 8-1) VAMOS VIEJO was a troubled fourth among two next-out winners when last seen in a $5K claimer at Turfway Feb. 20. He's since changed barns off a claim and hot trainer Rombis won with two of her three runners on opening weekend. – Ron Gierkink | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 3:48 ET Track: AQU 6th Horse: OKLAHOMA SMOKE (#8, 10-1) OKLAHOMA SMOKE is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Beer). | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 4:04 ET Track: GP 7th Horse: DRINK N WINK (#1, 6-1) DRINK N WINK sat off a slow pace last out and then faltered. He is best on the engine. New jock is noted along with weight break that helps early zip. We bet this guy guns from the rail all in a race without much speed. Wire please. – Scott Ehlers | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 4:21 ET Track: AQU 7th Horse: BOURBON DAY (#7, 7-2) BOURBON DAY handled dirt well while racing on the surface infrequently prior to switching to this barn; has come up with two strong wins while concentrating on the main track for Rice, including a dominant victory over DONEGAL SURGES in November going longer; tactical enough to handle dropping back in distance again. – Mike Beer | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 4:56 ET Track: CD 9th Horse: FAITHFUL DEPARTED (#9, 5-1) FAITHFUL DEPARTED so far has been one of those horses with a knack for getting into tough trips - a good chunk of that is her lack of any positional pace. Won her maiden in an optional claimer but is much better than that, as demonstrated in the two stakes starts. Outside post shouldn't hurt because she's dropping to the tail of the field anyway. With luck - meaning a relatively clean trip - I think she can get up to beat these allowance foes at a fair price. – Marcus Hersh | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 7:33 ET Track: SA 8th Horse: CONQUEST SUE (#5, 8-1) Maiden-20 fillies and mares sprint five and one-half furlongs on dirt. CONQUEST SUE drops from Cal-bred MSW and switches surfaces after an improved try second out. She showed speed and faded first out, she raced wide and finished seventh of 11 next out. These rivals are easier, and the filly's pedigree leans toward dirt. – Brad Free | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 8:03 ET Track: SA 9th Horse: OUR MOONLIGHT (#7, 8-1) OUR MOONLIGHT benefits stretching from a sprint to a mile. Two of the best races of her career were around two turns. After finishing an even-paced third last out at 6.5f, she goes a mile on turf. Her only start on turf was a bad-trip debacle, therefore surface preference remains uncertain. 'MOONLIGHT should be forwardly placed in a N1X turf mile that is likely to unfold at a modest pace. – Brad Free | Get Past Performances for this race
