With most other North American sports being shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic, we hope the sport of horse racing can entertain you during these trying times. Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
12:55 GP 1st Looking for NEW YORK’S FINEST (#8, 4-1) to return fresh and sharp from his 12-week layoff; outer post can yield a clean forward trip. -Marty McGee
1:24 GP 2nd 7-month layoff for EL PILLO (#7, 7-2) not a big deal when you consider it’s Klesaris whose care he’s been under; veteran trainer tends to do his very best with grass sprinters such as this guy. -Marty McGee
1:52 TAM 4th NORTHERN (#8, 5-1) rises after running two straight but he may be good enough to handle better in his current form, especially as he figures to fit a very nice trip off a pressured pace here; he draws wide but he’s plenty quick enough to get early position and he could well be ideally spotted off the pacesetters. -Kenny Peck

2:05 OP 1st SUPERSTAR BEA (#11, 3-1) cuts back to one turn here and looking for her to be strong through the stretch on account of the distance move. She also is appealing for the fact that she was favored against steeper last out. -Mary Rampellini
2:23 GP 4th Looks like HOLLY HILL (#6, 4-1) has become a brand new filly since S.Maragh assumed her training; blast-off maiden score four Sundays ago makes her an immediate threat in first try vs. winners. -Marty McGee
2:52 TAM 6th TONY’S ROSE (#10, 8-1) posted her lone win to date on the turf, a plus if this race stays on the grass, but she’s also a threat on the main track, as that effort at Woodbine in her career debut wasn’t bad, albeit on a synthetic surface; like the fact that she has proven she can take back and make one run, as there’s speed to her inside. -Kenny Peck
3:25 TAM 7th KATIE FALOONA (#9, 4-1) didn’t get as much pace as expected last time and that made it tough for her to close ground but she didn’t run a bad race in defeat; now gets more ground and should make her presence felt in the lane if she gets an improved race flow. -Kenny Peck
3:55 TAM 8th TIZ SAMURAI (#9, 3-1) has been in nothing but tough spots in terms of pace, both in his races since returning from the break as well as in his starts in Illinois before the layoff; draws widest today but still seems quick enough to get clear in the opening stages, and with a loose lead he should be able to back down the fractions sufficiently enough to win this gate-to-wire. -Kenny Peck
4:06 OP 5th ROCKYS WARRIOR (#4, 6-1) shortens up a tad to five and a half furlongs and his natural speed should serve him well at the distance, which is the site of his best career Beyer Speed Figure. -Mary Rampellini
4:25 TAM 9th VENEZUELAN WARRIOR (#9, 9-2) adds blinkers for trainer Juan Arriagada and that has been a strong angle for the barn of late; he cuts back to 5 1/2 furlongs and he is proven at this distance, and he should be well set up to make the last run with several confirmed speeds to his inside and route. -Kenny Peck
5:09 OP 9th WASABI GIRL (#1, 15-1) is appealing as a multiple stakes-placed runner who exits the same race as probable favorite EDGEWAY (#11, 9-5). They come out of a strong renewal of the Purple Martin, with Edgeway finishing third and Wasabi Girl, fourth. -Mary Rampellini

5:38 OP 8th TIPSY GAL (#11, 2-1) was a stalking third in both of her outings. She seems poised to earn her diploma after tracking all the speed in this six-furlong maiden special. --Ron Gierkink
5:55 GP 11th Noteworthy class drop for INCONVEYANCE (#9, 8-1) liable to make him much more a factor than when he made his grass/2-turn debut earlier this month for Biancone; gray NY-bred worth a flyer, at least. -Marty McGee
6:30 OP 10th INTHEMIDSTOFBIZ (#5, 3-1) is interesting for one of her company lines from late February. She was a close-up fourth to the talented Sunny Dale, who has zipped right through her conditions this meet. -Mary Rampellini
