Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 12:20 GP 1st GONNA BE EPIC (#4, 6-1) ran a big race when he debuted in a $50K maiden claimer will appreciate being back on turf, we hope, and the easier company following a dull effort in a race washed off the lawn in his second start. Adding to his appeal is the past five years Pompay has a 29% strike rate and $3.36 ROI with horses dropping in value by 50% or more. -Randy Goulding | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 1:10 MTH 3rd FIFTY CENTS (#7, 4-1) weakened after contesting the pace from the start in each of his last two starts but he may well be able to shake loose in the opening stages today; the last time he had that luxury was in his maiden score back in May, another race that was light on early speed. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 1:38 WO 2nd SASKATCHEWAN (#7, 10-1) is strongly bred for the grass, top and bottom, and could prevail off a long layoff with the addition of Lasix and Gallardo. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:11 MTH 5th KANDY GINGER (#9, 6-1) was off the board in her first and only try on the turf to date but that was a decent field at Lone Star, with three of the four to come back to run posting Beyers 70 or better on the grass; she was off the pace in that race but on the lead in her last two, and given the expected pace scenario here she figures to be on or near the lead despite the outside post. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:05 GP 6th VOICE OF NOW (#2, 5-1) has more than one decent work and is by Neolothic who is off to an excellent start as a sire with four first-out winners from his first eight starters. Plus, two of Voice of Now’s siblings won first-time out. -Randy Goulding | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:11 WO 4th FORITTABLE (#3, 10-1) is by good speed/debut sire Old Forester. His dam dropped four juvenile winners, including stakes winners Citius, Flashy Margaritta and Bourbon Stritta. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:39 GP 7th GLITTER BAY (#3, 9-2) has been freshened following a couple of dull efforts and has races in her past that would win this. She could come back firing on all cylinders for Zerpa who the past five years has a 41% strike rate and $2.16 ROI with claimed horses coming back between 61-180 days. If she breaks on top, she could be gone. -Randy Goulding | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:05 MTH 9th HIGHTIME VALENTINE (#9, 3-1) comes off a narrow loss in her latest, a very game effort given the fact the winner drifted out some into her late and that rival held a pace advantage on her; this is her first start off the claim but she meets similar and she’s going to be a handful if she is able to run back to that last one. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:37 LAD 3rd DRUMPF MEDIA (#4, 9-2) is the value. We thought his last two races were better. Second time with new barn can only help. This horse might be circling around to a top figure. He could sit right off a pace battle. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:48 GP 9th HOLY MEISTER (#2, 5-1) won’t mind being back on turf after fading running over a muddy track in his first try on dirt. HIs Beyer Speed Figures on turf stand out and he will be making his first start for Fuentes who has strong numbers first off the claim. -Randy Goulding | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:02 MTH 11th INDIAN GULCH (#4, 6-1) ran a big race for the place in his latest, as he was not only against the race flow but he was also on a speed-favoring strip, and the race came up much faster than par (winner posted a 75 Beyer, par is 63); now makes his first start off the claim for trainer Tom Clark, who wins at a good rate with all types. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:03 LAD 4th HAPPY DAY (#3, 10-1) is by a 5% debut turf sire. His dam never tried the grass. Lone grass sib is 1-0-0-0. We do spy two sibs that earned over 200K. This barn is 25% 1st turf, 25% dirt to turf, 22% sprint to route, and all show a flat bet profit. Notice that this guy went favored in his debut. We can forgive anyone’s first start. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:50 WO 10th TEXT ME UP (#10, 4-1) is experimenting on the grass with a decent turf pedigree off a nose loss going long on the Tapeta in her season debut. She should be a speed threat with the rail in the occasionally speed-friendly lane 4. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets 6:21 LAD 7th MORO MISCHIEF (#8, 15-1) just improved his Beyer by 13 points even though it was on the turf something he is not bred for. He won two back even if the Beyer was only a 29. What we are saying is that this guy is improving and will be a good price today. Race flow is fine as there is some speed in here. More than possible that this guy is double digits. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
