Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 12:35 BAQ 2nd CONTINENTAL DIVIDE (#2, 6-1) has spent most of 2023 racing on turf and synthetic, including a couple of wins on the latter surface with competitive figures; he also ran well on dirt last year in California while hitting the board in all four starts on that surface, including a couple of 80 Beyers; back to dirt and dropping in class for Jacobson. -Mike Beer  1:00 KEE 1st JEWELSTOWN (#4, 10-1) worked three times since being claimed last out on the drop to this $30K tag, and the active breeze pattern suggests he can do better than that flat fifth last out, a race a notch or two below his best. -Marcus Hersh  1:49 WO 2nd MISS VYVYANNE (#4, 12-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Ron Gierkink).  2:44 BAQ 6th MISCREANT (#1, 10-1) is a maiden on the grass after five starts, though she has run well in each of those starts without winning; got shuffled back around the final turn to wind up last when back to the grass in that last one, then put in a good finish despite having little chance to catch. -Mike Beer  3:03 LRL 6th FAINOR'S FILETS (#8, 6-1) looked good graduating at Pimlico two back. Brushed the side of the gate, took a little bump in the opening strides, then sent up to set a reasonable three-ply pace along the rail. Confronted in earnest on the second turn, she rebuffed that challenge and stayed to her task. Hooked up in a hard three-ply duel three wide three weeks ago in a race that went to stalkers and closers. -Dan Illman  3:36 LRL 7th Curious to see what we get from CHICA CHUCK (#6, 20-1) as he stretches out and switches to turf in first out of the maiden ranks. Not a ton of turf close up in the pedigree, but it is the family of Grade 3-winning turf sprinter Mamselle Bebette. Took advantage of a quick pace to best Wesley Thomas (next-out second in a quarter maiden claimer at Delaware with 48 Beyer) on graduation day. -Dan Illman  4:37 WO 7th AHBEE (#11, 10-1) worked well from the gate twice for a trainer who got hot with his 2yos around this time last year. The daughter of Stormy Atlantic is a half-sister to the stakes-placed grasser Lac Macaza. -Ron Gierkink  4:44 KEE 8th GIGANTE (#2, 12-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Marcus Hersh).  4:48 GP 9th LA RUNA (#8, 12-1) showed talent in Panama and after a dull U.S. debut here May 11 has flourished with 2 big wins over much cheaper. She was claimed for $25K in that July 16 win and while she hasn't been seen since, which is a tad worrisome, it's encouraging she returns up in price. All her work has come on dirt so it's new footing today, though she worked big on this track last Saturday. -Michael Hammersly  5:11 LRL 10th TIZAWINNER (#1, 6-1) is by a precocious stallion that wins with 20% of his debut runners, and the dam is a half-sister to British stakes-placed synthetic miler Zaahy. The second dam was a stakes-winning turf router (94 turf Beyer). Barn sent out juvenile debut winner Noble Prendergast (6-1 odds) in a one-mile maiden claimer on dirt here last year. -Dan Illman  5:16 KEE 9th HAPPY AMERICAN (#2, 15-1) has a few races that are as good as anything anyone in the Fayette has produced, but he won't be bet like that's the case. Moreover, he's set to improve after a subpar comeback run in the Lukas Classic, where he fell too far behind, and with a surplus of early and middle pace signed on, he's getting the right setup. -Marcus Hersh  5:23 BAQ 11th RIVIERE (#1, 5-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Beer).  6:41 WO 11th TELLTALE (#7, 6-1) ran big in her last two Tapeta excursions, races which sandwiched a subpar fourth on the inner turf where she had a wide trip. Seven-eighths on the main track should suit her to a T. -Ron Gierkink  7:26 GG 7th GONNA GETCHA GOOD (#4, 9-2), unraced since a third-place finish in a field of four in January, will have his turf debut and will be fitted with blinkers for the first time in this $25,000 claimer for maidens at five furlongs on turf. A gelding, Gonna Getcha Good has had a steady pattern of recent works for his comeback for trainer Jack Steiner, who does well with such runners. -Steve Andersen  8:07 RP 1st TEAM GORMLEY (#11, 5-1) is moving back to two turns and his natural speed should help him secure position from the wide post. He was second last out to a half-brother to Belmont Stakes winner Arcangelo. -Mary Rampellini  8:11 SA 9th VISITANT (#4, 4-1) drops into a restricted stakes he can win if he avoids a duel with pace rivals including ASTRONOMER, who could scratch if it looks like he will make it into the BC Mile next week. Either way, VISITANT gets the call based on his third in a G2 turf mile two back behind BC Mile-bound Du Jour and Exaulted. VISITANT next tried a G2 dirt sprint, but had trouble and was no match for BC Sprint-bound Dr. Schivel and Speed Boat Beach. VISITANT returns to the turf-mile conditions of his best recent race, and can win with a pressing trip. -Brad Free  8:26 GG 9th Though winless in six starts since early May, ECOLOGIST (#7, 6-1) may have conditions in his favor in this allowance race at 1 1-16 miles. A four-time winner this year, Ecologist is a stalker who should have a good pace to follow in this field of 10. Ecologist was a good second by a length in an allowance race at a mile in his last start on Sept. 23, overcoming a slow start and racing into a slow pace. -Steve Andersen  9:59 RP 5th PANDEMIC CAT (#3, 6-1) should be sharp for the move back to two turns off the seven-eighths of a mile start at Remington. He draws a useful kind of post. -Mary Rampellini  12:19 RP 10th NO PAY NO HAY (#8, 6-1) has moved forward with each of her starts and for this trip will add blinkers in what long has been a high percentage equipment move for Diodoro, according to statistics from Daily Racing Form. -Mary Rampellini
