2:39 LRL 6th BAZINGA C (#4, 8-1) stalked outside at Penn National, was placed on a hard chase to go after the loose 7-1 pacesetter (finished second), then reeled that one in to score with career-best 85 Beyer. Two-time Laurel winner has the versatile running style to adapt to any pace scenario. 5:20 TUP 6th INTERSTELLA (#10, 12-1) is stuck outside but there ends the negatives. Sire gets 14% debut turf winners. Her dam never tried the green and this is her first grass foal. Her turf Tomlinson is a very nice 328. This filly wants two turns and has some tactical speed to help the trip. 5:00 DMR 4th This starter allowance sprint is a good spot to take a shot at a price with last-out maiden-20 winner BALI DANCER (#4, 8-1). Her first eight starts were bland, but her DMR win opening day was better than the modest figure. Hounded through fast fractions, she shook off her pace rival and won clear. Sharp win. 6:21 WO 11th RED MAVRIK (#3, 20-1) got hung out five-wide on the first turn and continued to take the overland route the rest of the way while making a bid and then fading in a recent route experiment. 7:15 GG 8th There are high hopes for GRAZEN IN THE SUN (#3, 10-1) and it is easy to see why. The 3-year-old filly won her debut at 13-1 in a maiden special weight race at six furlongs on Oct. 29 by closing from fifth in a field of eight to win by 1 1-4 lengths. 7:45 GG 9th TAMA SETS DA PACE (#10, 8-1) overcame a poor start to finish a respectable second as the 9-5 favorite in her debut in an $8,000 claimer for maidens at five furlongs on Oct. 28. She starts from the outside in this large field and deserves another chance with the expectation that she will have a better start.
