Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
12:22 AQU 2nd HE’S A LUCKY DEVIL (#9, 6-1) finished behind a couple of these same rivals in his debut last month at Belmont but he didn’t run poorly at all that day racing wide throughout as the 1-2 finishers rode the inside; trainer had excellent numbers with horses like this - maiden, second career start, turf: 19 for his last 41, 46%, $3.50 ROI, 5 for 11 in NY in that sample, $4.22 ROI. -Mike Beer |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
12:25 LRL 1st COMMANDING GENERAL (#2, 12-1) must really improve if he is to turn the tables on DECORATED as they both drop out of the same allowance race, but the former adds blinkers after a stutter-step beginning and will offer a higher price on the tote. The 66 Beyer from his start two back when in against red-hot Dirtyfoot and eventual Maryland Million Sprint winner Karan’s Notion would put him in the mix. -Dan Illman |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
12:50 AQU 3rd BREEZE BURNER (#9, 9-2) back quickly and dropping in class after being overmatched by allowance rivals here last Saturday; 10-time winner has been holding good form at Finger Lakes over the past 18 months or so and he is tactical from his outside post. -Mike Beer |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
12:54 LRL 2nd GARY DOING BIZ (#5, 5-1) received an education in her career debut at Penn National. Off two lengths slow from the rail, she took some dirt while tracking the pace from the inside, angled three wide into the stretch and finished evenly behind three experienced runners while a bit late to change leads. Shows up on this circuit at the bottom level and seems like a nice fit with these. -Dan Illman |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets

1:25 WO 1st FARAWAY KITTEN (#7, 4-1) is dropping from tough second-level optional-claiming company to $40K off a poor showing on turf where he was softened up in a speed duel. He was previously third on the Tapeta behind the talented Dream Maker and Timeskip, who subsequently placed in graded stakes company. -Ron Gierkink |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
2:45 AQU 7th NINJA DUST (#4, 15-1) improved immediately upon being returned to turf last summer and was competitive at around this level once returned to this circuit following his easy maiden win at Monmouth; has to be ready off the layoff but projects for a good trip in this race and looks like a nice fit with these horses. -Mike Beer |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
2:55 WO 4th CHOOSE HOPE (#4, 12-1) crushed maidens the last time she competed on the Tapeta three starts ago, and is dropping off back-to-back poor showings on the grass. -Ron Gierkink |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
3:38 GPW 7th DOUBLE BLESSED (#3, 15-1) too well bred for the turf not to take a chance at a price in this relatively weak stakes lineup. Got a bit of an education in debut at Monmouth when breaking slow, racing wide early, altering course some at mid-stretch while only beaten 4 lengths for second money. Kin to G1 2yo winner Victory to Victory. -Mike Welsch |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
3:58 WO 6th LYRICAL NOTE (#7, 20-1) raced wide over an inside-favoring track when sixth in each of her last two excursions. His trainer has excellent numbers with new shooters, and this one could hit the ticket at a square price. -Ron Gierkink |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets

4:13 AQU 10th In a race where the likely favorites are tough to take I’ll take a shot with newer face EMPIRE EXPRESS (#3, 8-1), returning to turf after making a belated 3yo debut sprinting on the drop here last weekend; lone turf start came vs. much better in his career debut and he didn’t run poorly at all that day. -Mike Beer |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:23 LRL 9th MCELMORE AVENUE (#2, 9-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Dan Illman). |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:42 GPW 9th UNCLE PIP (#9, 10-1) could be a price play returning to turf off main track tally last time. Over-matched in grass bow but got to like the breeding being a half to G1 placed turf-er Extravagant Kid. -Mike Welsch |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
6:28 WO 11th FINAL STRIKE (#10, 8-1) has been gelded since a troubled fourth at this level Oct. 4, a race which contained two next-out winners. -Ron Gierkink |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
