Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook; something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day's action. 1:06 PIM 2nd LITA (#2, 9-2) stalked three wide, swung to the four path turning into the stretch, then ran down the leaders when graduating over Tapeta. The runner-up won two of her next three including a statebred first-level allowance on turf with a 77 Beyer. Don't love the 142-day layoff after the victory, but this barn went 6 for the last 24 (25%, $2.50 ROI) with last-out maiden winners. Should get some pace to track. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  1:38 PIM 3rd MOONSET (#3, 5-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Dan Illman). | Get PPs for this race  2:30 MTH 5th PARTY IS OVER (#9, 6-1) is kin to 2-year-old Bundchen, who debuted for Wesley Ward this spring at Keeneland and lost by a nose after setting the pace from the start; this filly has been training steadily toward her own debut for trainer Jorge Duarte Jr., who does some of his best work with turf sprinters. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  3:03 BEL 5th EMPATHY (#7, 8-1) was never a factor in the debut at Churchill, though she was compromised by the outside draw in that race and had to give away a lot of early position as her rider elected to take back to try to save some ground early; never had a chance after that behind a blowout, front-running winner but she was trying to race on late; has the outside again but might be a lot better than she looks and is backed up by a solid pedigree. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  3:22 GP 6th YES I'M A BEAST (#2, 6-1) at his best when on the front end which he figures to be if away cleanly here. Third could be the charm off the 5 1/2 month vacation. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race  3:45 WO 6th TOTALLY IN CHARGE (#3, 15-1) graduated when going from Tapeta to turf second time out last fall, before finishing a lapped-on second in a two-turn Tapeta stakes for OS 3yo fillies. She's a good fit in this NW2 turf sprint and should make some noise if anywhere near ready off the shelf. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race  4:09 PIM 8th DOLICE VITA (#4, 6-1) outran his odds here earlier in the month when facing a pretty tough field (the top-two finishers have combined for 33 victories). Broke outward a bit, then maneuvered his way in to track the pace from the pocket. Had a rail run stymied in upper stretch due to lack of room, altered course off heels to the two path, then finished evenly with a solid gallop-out. He has enough speed to get close to the pace in this spot. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  4:37 PIM 9th TEMPT (#2, 10-1) is a half-sister to Grade 2-winning turf router Strike Charmer, and is also a three-quarter to multiple stakes-placed synthetic sprinter Sweet Dreams (won debut; 70 synthetic Beyer). The dam was a stakes-winning turf miler (96 turf Beyer), and herself is a half to multiple Grade 1-placed dirt router Impeachment from the family of champion sprinter Gold Beauty. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  5:20 WO 9th SPEEDY JOHNY (#6, 10-1) ran evenly for third in her May 13 debut vs. $25K maidens. She's moving out from five to seven furlongs in this OS/$40K maiden event and could put it all together under Hoyte, who's had a good beginning to the meet. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race  5:25 LAD 6th POPPY T (#4, 8-1) is by a 9% debut sire. His dam went 33-7-1-5 and earned 126K. This is her first foal so no help there. Works are longer and well spaced. This gelding cost 33K which is a lot for around here. This barn shows a flat bet profit with their debut runners. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race  5:31 GP 10th All the speed in this lineup could play to favor of EAMONN (#2, 10-1) who shortens up in distance for first time after a long series of two turn outings. Should be coming best of all at the end at a fair price. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race  5:44 BEL 10th AUTUMN (#7, 8-1) took some money in the debut on Wood Day going shorter and she looked ready to make a run in the stretch when she clipped heels trying to switch out to the clear in the stretch and fell; has breezed four times this month suggesting all is well despite that incident; deserves another chance with Lasix on. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  6:04 GP 11th CHANGEORDERSONNY (#6, 20-1) tries the synthetic for first time but getting some class relief and handled the surface extremely well when working in company with recent winner Fortuna Belle in preparation for this one. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race  6:07 CBY 1st CARMENOOTZ (#7, 12-1) is coming off back to back dirt starts where he did little. Good. What? It helps today's price. This guy hates the dirt and is simply much better on the green. We like that this horse puts races together without a layoff even though he shipped here from Florida. Winless barn helps the price but make no mistake that this horse has run well enough multiple times to take this. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race  7:37 CBY 4th NINE CROWNS (#7, 12-1) ran OK off the layoff considering she never got a breather. She looks better if you discount her two turf starts. Works prior and after her return race are good. This filly gets in light with Berrios-Lopez up and we liked how this apprentice was riding at the recent Turf Paradise meet. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race  7:59 GG 8th ONE FAST BRO (#3, 7-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Steve Andersen). | Get PPs for this race  8:37 CBY 6th COLONEL KLINK (#5, 5-1) finds a good spot. His last two starts are just better. Those starter foes two back at OP can be tough and this guy still beat half the field home. His most recent was even more impressive and he was chasing a slow pace but still ran evenly late. He has run well on this dirt before. A small knock in that there isn't a ton of pace in this race. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race  9:37 CBY 8th YO DAWG (#8, 8-1) has never run poorly. That was a nice confidence boost in his most recent when breaking his maiden at 5-1. Of course, that was a Beyer top in his 4YO debut. What we like best is that this gelding puts races back to back. This barn is 23% 2nd off this type of layoff. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race
