Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 12:25 TAM 2nd UNFLAPPABLE MAX (#6, 6-1) is pretty obviously a threat on the class drop, and while this move causes some concern given the layoff the pair of works he shows since his last were both excellent; needn't run to his best race to win this, it seems. -Kenny Peck 12:55 TAM 3rd TWO STORMY OCEANS (#1, 15-1) has to deal with the rail, which is not an ideal draw for an inexperienced runner, but he sports some works that suggest he has some speed and he can be an immediate factor if he gets away cleanly; first foal out of the dam, who was best sprinting on the dirt, posting all of her four career wins under those conditions. -Kenny Peck 1:08 GP 3rd TELL ME SOME LIES (#4, 4-1) another Lynch trainee who appears well spotted right off the bench. Has had several decent looking grass drills prepping for this and hard to ignore anything this sire runs on the lawn. -Mike Welsch 1:27 TAM 4th BOSSES LEGACY (#1, 8-1) is another firster on the rail, usually a negative, but her work tab is very strong, especially considering the fact that firsters from this barn don't usually show this type of speed in the mornings; first starter from the dam, who won once in 10 starts, but the works make up for any lack of pedigree power. -Kenny Peck 1:30 OP 1st MACRON (#2, 7-2) is appealing for the excellent speed he showed last out as he is shortening up some in distance to five and a half panels. -Mary Rampellini 2:07 GP 5th SEAT AT THE TABLE (#5, 8-1) comes off best yet when returning to Tapeta for 2yo finale and working well for 3yo bow. First time Lasix user returns with state breds, can take another with a little forward move. -Mike Welsch 2:24 LRL 5th TATE (#4, 6-1) beat first-level allowance horses here last spring, and caught a tough two-turn sprint at Charles Town for first start following a seven-month layoff. Tracked from the pocket, was outpaced on the backstretch, then passed some tired ones along the rail. The winner of that race returned to place for a $25,000 optional claiming tag there with a 72 Beyer. -Dan Illman 2:55 AQU 4th PLAY (#4, 7-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Beer). 3:22 LRL 7th HOLY SYNCHRONICITY (#11, 30-1) might be set for best in third start following short layoff. In too tough against the likes of Post Time in the Jennings two back, he then likely found 5 1/2 furlongs too sharp last month. Saved ground at the back in the latter event, eased out into the stretch, then finished evenly without threatening. He has the speed to get close to the expected moderate pace. -Dan Illman 3:58 AQU 6th WARALO (#6, 7-2) wasn't winning last time anyway, but he failed to work his way clear in the stretch and wound up just finishing evenly in the final furlong as that good winner powered down the outside; has been in good form for Englehart and might finally be in the right spot. -Mike Beer 4:06 GP 9th YES I AM FREE (#7, 6-1) did not run his best race when hung wide, drifting some over Tampa sod last time. Back to favorite course, reunites with favorite rider, might just avenge setback in this race a year ago at the hands of the late running BIG INVASION. -Mike Welsch 4:18 OP 6th CATALYST (#4, 5-1) is appealing as a half-sister to Creative Minister, who was third in the Preakness and who has earned $574K. -Mary Rampellini 4:24 LRL 9th KNICKERSINATWIST (#2, 5-1) prompted a 5-2 shot (finished sixth) from the outside under confident handling, made the lead with three furlongs to run, then was kicked down in the lane. The winner of that heat then placed in a high-level allowance with a 72 Beyer. She has good tactical speed and figures close to the pace once again. -Dan Illman 4:29 AQU 7th PRINCIPE D'ORO (#6, 12-1) caught a wet track first off the long layoff and wound up getting outrun to last early before mid-moving wide and flattening out; well-bred 5yo shaped with potential early on before missing all that time; can improve in the second start back and will be a fair price. -Mike Beer 4:36 GP 10th CHEETARA (#8, 8-1) could prove sleeper in main event making first start for Pletcher barn but did beat Olivia Darling last spring at Pimlico and working up a storm at PBD for this, holding own and then some in last two works with the likes of sensational maiden winner Speak Easy and G2 winner Dynamic One. -Mike Welsch 5:50 TAM 12th DAMASO (#11, 10-1) is back in allowance company after a sharp score against claiming non-winners of three, earning a figure (80) that's above par for the class and distance as she rallied strongly through the lane for the win; she was off the board at this level two back but while she blew a clear lead she had to work hard to get it, as that was a race featuring a good amount of early speed. NOTINAMILLIONYEARS returns from a winter freshening for trainer Chad Brown and she's obviously a big threat here off her last couple of tries, including a narrow loss last time out at this same level; stone closer needs pace but should get it. STARTUP MENTALITY, from the same barn, has the best Beyers in the field and looms the one to beat in her first start since December; clearly has to be strongly considered, though she could be overbet some. 5:55 OP 9th SHOTGUN HOTTIE (#8, 8-1) might get a nice stalking trip in the Azeri, sitting off a couple of these, including HOT AND SULTRY. Both runners are appealing as Grade 3 winners who are consistent sorts that have put up some of the field's best Beyer Speed Figures. Both are also winners at Oaklawn. -Mary Rampellini 7:43 SA 9th The familiar faces in this five-furlong maiden turf sprint are modest; the race for statebred fillies is ripe for a first-time starter. M. McCarthy-trained PIPPA PHILIPA (#11, 4-1) fits the bill. She is by Smiling Tiger (debut winners slightly less than 11 percent, all ages), the only runner produced by her unraced dam is a full brother to 'PHILIPA who won first out by more than five lengths. -Brad Free
