Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 2:50 TAM 6th GRAY MEDALLION (#6, 15-1) may be a bit of a stab but the reality is he showed mild late interest in the lane last time, and he galloped out with purpose; his Beyers are steady, and while they look a little light he's actually not that far off the top contenders in terms of figures. -Kenny Peck 3:23 TAM 7th TIMO (#2, 6-1) is an upgrade candidate off that last try, when he was off the pace in a race that was devoid of pace and set up well for the Speeds (note the inverted "S" symbol in DRF pp's, indicating an extreme advantage); adds blinkers for this and may find himself closer to the pace this time around. -Kenny Peck  3:37 GP 6th GENERAL LEDGER (#1, 10-1) a versatile sort who would likely benefit most if this one switches to the Tapeta. Ran down in form REEF RUNNER in only previous try on the surface and should get another legit pace to run at if this field holds together. -Mike Welsch 3:51 LRL 8th KISS FOR LUCK (#3, 5-1), a half-sister to champion Vequist, broke sharp in the Main Line over sloppy going at Parx, tracked in between horses, found the rail on the second turn, eased out into the stretch, then tried hard for second behind the co-favored, gate-to-wire winner. She's moved up on wet tracks in her last two starts for barn that went 6 for the last 18 (33%, $3.36 ROI) in Maryland. -Dan Illman 3:53 TAM 8th Lots of speed signed on for this optional claiming sprint, which will come down to race flow and trips. If this field stays intact a horse like LITTLE VIC (#6, 6-1) will very likely benefit from a quick, contested pace up front; he rushed up to get position after hitting the gate at the start last time but that cost him, as those splits were quick, and he'd be better served taking back off the pace and making a late run in this second start off the break. -Kenny Peck  4:00 SA 1st The sixth-place comeback by GET KRAKEN (#6, 4-1) was better than it looks on paper, and sets him up for a maiden-50 upset second start back. In his comeback, he was void of speed, raced near the back, angled out for the drive, finished well and galloped out in front of the field. While he benefitted from a fast pace that flattered his late kick, it was his first start in more than a year and only the second of his career. Now he faces a field of career maidens, and can rally for an off-the-pace upset second start back. -Brad Free 4:18 OP 6th LEADER OF MEN (#11, 7-2) is back in the claiming ranks after a solid race against starter foes. -Mary Rampellini 4:25 TAM 9th CHRIS'S MOTOWN GAL (#9, 2-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Kenny Peck). 4:54 LRL 10th PEACHESSWEETNOTION (#6, 5-1) broke out and bumped a foe last month, prompted a three-ply pace from in between rivals, was outpaced three wide and in between on the turn, then finished evenly without threatening. This filly has a couple of back races that would make her competitive with these, and has the speed to get close to the early pace. There's enough wet-track pedigree for her to succeed on off going. -Dan Illman 5:38 GP 10th KLUGMAN (#7, 6-1) hauled back off the lead despite stretching around two turns while simply over-matched to boot first off the claim for current connections. Plunges in price, back with state breds for first time in quite a while. Expecting big improvement. -Mike Welsch 6:49 GG 5th GRAZEN SUN (#3, 5-1) returned from a layoff of nearly five months to win a conditional $12,500 claimer on Feb. 25, rallying from last of seven to lead in the final furlong. In this conditional $20,000 claimer at 5 1-2 furlongs, Grazen Sun has every chance for another closing trip. While this is a class jump from his last start, Grazen Sun was third in an allowance race last May. -Steve Andersen 7:38 SA 8th A likely longshot, CLOUSEAU (#2, 6-1) could upset this N1X dirt route based on his highly rated runner-up finish two starts back, followed by a bad-trip drubbing last out. CLOUSEAU ran well two back, runner-up to next-out N2X winner Flying Drummer while earning a figure (88 Beyer) within three points of par. As for last out, CLOUSEAU has an excuse. He did not get away well, was unable to establish position, got shuffled back on the first turn, then merely coasted around the track in a toss race. Now he adds blinkers, switches to jockey Edwin Maldonado and can be forwardly placed over a track on which he scored all three career wins. -Brad Free 7:54 GG 7th In his 34-race career, DOO WOP DON (#5, 6-1) has started at a mile once, finishing seventh in an allowance race at Gulfstream Park in January 2023. In his last few starts in sprints at Golden Gate Fields, Doo Wop Don has finished well despite traffic issues, making his appearance in this $20,000 claimer at a mile all the more intriguing. Doo Wop Don may be a late-running sprinter, but a start around two turns is very much worth a chance with the eight-time winner. -Steve Andersen
