Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.

1:15 CD 2nd PROBLEM SOLVED (#7, 8-1)? Nothing but questions! Mostly turf form, unproven on dirt, new barn - I'm keying on two things - the blinkers off move and the lively Ellis works as this barn switches from grass routes to a dirt sprint. - Marcus Hersh

1:38 BAQ 2nd SUPERPOWER (#1, 4-1) got in too tough in his first two starts off the claim when facing the likes of Playa Del Mar (89 Beyer winning that day, returned to win again with a 98), Magnanimous Max (three wins in a row, recently stepped up in class to win at Saratoga with an 88 Beyer), and Sequential, all of whom would be heavily favored in here; liked the aggressive ride he received when turned back to sprint on 5/9 when sending for the lead and not rating it, before fighting back gamely in the stretch; moved up too far in class last time; better fit here, and he can get the mile. - Mike Beer

1:29 WO 2nd TRUE SHOT (#6, 20-1) has a Tapeta sprint tightener under his girth. The inner turf expert could be along in time as a longshot with lots of speed to close into in this $25K inner course route - Ron Gierkink

1:54 LRL 6th GREAT ARTIST (#6, 6-1) could go off at a fair price while stretching out in distance for Stettinius, who has been firing him off in sprints since claiming him last September; though he has handled sprints well enough, they have offered diminishing returns over time, culminating in one of his worst turf starts off the layoff last month; he broke his maiden at 1 1/16 miles last year and generally seemed to prefer the distance early in his career; maybe he's simply off form, but this is an earnest search for improvement. - Patrick Moquin

2:58 GP 5th TAPE RUNNER (#3, 8-1) found restricted claimers more to her liking in her most recent and gets them again today. That race came back key when 3 of 5 returned to win with figs of 67, 68, and 67. Race flow is average and that neither helps nor hurts. This mare draws fine and can fire off a layoff - Scott Ehlers

4:45 BAQ 8th TICKET TO RIDE (#5, 7-2) had an unlucky trip in her turf debut last summer sprinting, then ran surprisingly poorly in her next two starts on the surface, before getting a layoff; stretched out for the first time when returned to NY in April, and she received a very poor ride in that race, before getting second behind a promising winner; rates another chance. - Mike Beer

5:01 WO 9th XARABELLA (#1, 10-1) posted an overdue maiden score going seven-eighths over next-out winner Moonlight Promises Oct. 25, after which she finished a wide fourth in a first-level allowance. She can acquit herself well when fresh and has been working right along for capable layoff trainer DePaulo - Ron Gierkink

5:33 MTH 10th DEBT LIMIT (#10, 5-2) makes his first start in over 9 months but that kind of layoff isn't a big concern when considering this barn. The gelding flashed talent and promise last year and it's encouraging Prat takes the wheel. - Michael Hammersly

5:59 CD 11th ILE DE LA CITE (3, 6-1) has two work videos up, and I liked both of them. Like the way she goes, she seems to have speed, and I'd gueess she's ready for debut success. - Marcus Hersh

6:35 SA 6th FAUSTO (#3, 4-1), a 10-start maiden, is the horse to beat in this maiden-50 turf route. He finished second his only previous try at this level two starts back, followed by a respectable third in a fast MSW dirt race that was validated when winner Midway Lane returned to win again. FAUSTO has the top figures in the lineup; the challenge is the mile and one-eighth distance. This is his first try beyond a mile - Brad Free

9:35 SA 12th Last-out runner up BUTTERFLY BEACH (#9, 3-1) is rounding into form, and ready to win this Cal-bred maiden-50 turf sprint. She showed surprising speed last time, and though she was worn down late she finished more than eight lengths clear of third. A similar effort would probably be enough for this. - Brad Free
