Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 12:40 PIM 1st Thought the rail was the place to be on May 20 and ROYALIAN (#4, 10-1) ran well against the bias. He took a light bump at the start, chased the gate-to-wire winner’s slow pace while four wide on the first turn and three deep on the second, and gave an even finish outside. Needs to prove that he can handle this class hike, but has improved since being stretched out in distance. Ortiz departs for Flash Lightening. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  1:09 MTH 3rd LA CASTIGLIONE (#5, 7-2) broke her maiden in the slop in her first try at Monmouth Park last time out, her second start with Lasix, and given the improvement she has shown since the medication change she clearly appears to have benefited; she’ll be looking to come from off the pace but there’s speed to her inside and out, and a quick pace could develop. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  2:19 GP 5th BEYOND HEAVENLY (#2, 6-1) has been given ample time to recuperate from maiden win which was flattered when runner-up return to earn her diploma next time. Blew out sharp half for this. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race  2:30 MTH 6th In a race lacking pace, ROCKYSBUCKAROO (#2, 4-1) might hold the edge. He comes off an easy win when he was able to control the issue from the start, and while he would normally be considered the type to downgrade off that running line he figures to once again be loose on the lead; repeat within reach if in fact able to get clear in the early stages. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  2:49 GP 6th HIGH GLORY (#5, 10-1) a new face to relatively weak category with plenty of foundation in preparation for debut noting four straight five panel works on resume’. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race  3:12 PIM 6th FED UP FIRED UP (#3, 6-1) won in third start of the form cycle in both 2018 and 2019 and will attempt to do it again while being offered for the $28,000 tag. Thought she received a good lung-opener in the Dahlia as she saved ground at the back, angled off heels in upper stretch and finished evenly against those tougher stakes foes. Raced in between horses last time, swung widest turning into the lane and finished with belated interest. Think she’ll get more pace to run at here. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  3:23 GP 7th RAY’SWARRIOR (#4, 15-1) may relish stretch to this distance after showing some late interest at 5 1/2 furlongs vs. same kind last out. Knows his way around the winner’s circle. Worth a look at a square price. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race  3:45 LAD 1st RUNCHIEFRUN (#4, 5-1) is simply better on the grass so forget his return try that was washed off. The forecast is for sunshine so expect turf racing to finally resume. This gelding has some upside and tactical speed to help the trip. We think this guy is better now than when last seen here (a 64 Beyer going long versus allowance foes). -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race  3:55 GP 8th HIGH NOON RIDER (#5, 7-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Welsch). | Get PPs for this race  4:31 LS 3rd CAYMANS COBRA (#4, 7-2) ran a fine race on the cutback from two turns to one last out, and could be even sharper here in his second straight sprint start. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race 4:37 LAD 3rd MOM SAID YES (#8, 10-1) returns to his favorite sod and can fire fresh as he broke his maiden on this sod off a layoff. Those fudgie (FG) tries 2 and 3 back are better than they look. Connections find a good spot except for this outside post. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race  5:02 GP 10th MO OF THE WEST (#4, 9-2) comes off what might have been much needed race when uanble to run down SHIFTY SHE in pair’s previous encounter, both getting a little class relief moving in with state breds here. Taken to avenge that decision with clean sailing. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race  5:27 LS 5th SHASTALOO (#9, 10-1) is shortening up a tad in distance to the mile trip of her maiden win. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race  5:55 LS 6th SHARP ROCKET (#4, 4-1) cuts back to one turn and looking for him to be strong through the lane at this six and a half furlong distance. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race  5:55 LAD 6th MORRICONE (#2, 5-1) is a new route horse and that is that. This improving 3YO colt just ran a Beyer top and draws inside once again. Distance breeding is actually quite good according to his 369 distance Tomlinson. An off track wouldn’t hurt either but the forecast going forward is for some much needed sunshine here. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race
