Looked good winning over wet going two back as she blasted to the lead, battled inside 9-2 shot D'tiger Lily (finished fifth), then kept on rolling. Tuned up for this with a gate-to-wire score on turf, a stake where she received a beautiful pacesetting ride through slow fractions. Saved ground at the back over a closer-friendly surface, made a four-wide looping bid on the far bend, then grinded down the leader. The runner-up returned to place in a high-level allowance with a 90 Beyer. 3:48 LRL 8th RESPONSE TIME (#8, 20-1) broke slow here four weeks ago, then rushed up to prompt the winner's slow pace. Placed to a hard chase on the turn, she tired in the stretch. Drew a nice attack post position that allows her to sit just off the leaders while clear of traffic. 5:05 LAD 1st FROSTY FLIRT (#1, 5-1) is more than capable on the grass. Four of his last five turf Beyers are 67, 65, 64, and 70. Those all fit at this level. She was washed off the green in her most recent but still ran a solid 2nd and did so at almost 8-1. 7:37 CBY 4th SKIPPY'S STRIKE (#7, 4-1) has always liked this sod. His two return tries were solid and now he goes third off the layoff all while dropping in class. Race flow is good as we spy multiple runners with speed in this race. His last two turf wins came at odds of 25-1 and 30-1. 8:21 LAD 8th WARRIOR'S RETURN (#4, 25-1) did little in her debut but she got needed race experience and that is what counts the most. Two of three sibs won on the grass. This barn is a solid 13% on the green and they own a flat bet profit. We wouldn't be shocked if this gal got lost on the tote. 9:37 CBY 8th TOM'S GIRL (#1, 10-1) isn't bred for the grass so we can forgive her turf debut previously. She has more than a few races at Will Rogers that fit here. This barn is a very nice 27% turf to dirt. We bet this 3YO filly is fully acclimated to here by now.
