Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 12:55 LRL 2nd LANGLEE AVENUE (#8, 10-1) hasn't run very well since scoring around three turns at Timonium, but he continues to drop in class in search of his correct level. Outrun in the early stages by favored, gate-to-wire winner Running River last time out, and that one flattered the form by running second in a quarter "beaten" with a 76 Beyer. Hernandez lands here instead of Superstitieux. -Dan Illman | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:39 GP 6th MAJOR PRYCE (#7, 6-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Welsch). | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:47 AQU 6th FLIP'S DREAM (#5, 9-2) took money in the career debut last month but was hampered at the start of that race, and was never in position to seriously factor thereafter while not being rushed by her rider; deserves another chance. -Mike Beer | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:52 LRL 6th Shopping for a price, and POLICE WOMAN (#11, 30-1) swaps out blinkers for cheekpieces once again after a disastrous one-race experiment. She showed a hint of early interest two back, had little chance in the Maryland Million four back, and wasn't disgraced on dirt over the summer at Pimlico. -Dan Illman | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:55 OP 4th ONE TEN STADIUM (#8, 5-1) has recency on some of these with the Remington start in which he finished a good third against open foes. He's back in the Arkansas-bred ranks with the meet now on at Oaklawn. -Mary Rampellini | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:00 SA 1st Lots of career maidens in this Cal-bred turf mile. It's a good spot for a lightly raced filly to post an upset. Second-time starter IN HER PRYME (#8, 6-1) fits the bill. Her sprint debut was not great. She ran evenly and beat one rival. But if the race served its purpose as a prep, then 'PRYME could take a big step forward second out. Her pedigree is fine for two turns; maidens trained by Carla Gaines generally improve with racing. -Brad Free | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:34 TAM 7th GENERAL COMMAND (#3, 6-1) really caught the eye in his seasonal debut here last time, as he was moving well through the lane in that abbreviated sprint, and he galloped out strongly past the wire; that race came up fast (the winner posted a 72 Beyer where the average winning figure for the class and distance is 60), and he could have a pace advantage on this move to seven furlongs, as he could be the main speed given early encouragement. -Kenny Peck | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:37 GP 8th PAPA DO PAPA DO (#8, 8-1) must improved switching to Tapeta on graduation day and looks like the sort who could continue an upward climb with experience. Figures forwardly placed throughout on stretch around two turns. -Mike Welsch | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:05 TAM 8th AMBUSHED (#8, 12-1) was against the race flow in each of his last three starts, and that gives him an excuse for finishing off the board in all of those tries, and he galloped out well past the wire in his latest; cuts back to a sprint but adds blinkers for this and that most recent breeze suggests the equipment change agrees with him. -Kenny Peck | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:06 GP 9th TIME TO DAZZLE (#5, 15-1) won under wraps over the Tapeta in local debut but proven on grass and could offer a bit of value in this very well matched group of fillies in the first of the afternoon's two turf stakes. -Mike Welsch | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:16 AQU 9th MI TRES POR CIENTO (#1, 4-1) won three straight after being claimed for this price by Englehart, then ran well in his most recent start over this track last January before enduring a layoff; posted an easy win two back to get back on track, and also ran well in that last one despite coming away second-best in the mud; better on fast dirt and has tactical speed from the rail. -Mike Beer | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:40 TAM 9th CAMPTON (#3, 10-1) has been idle since April but he boasts some solid works for this return try and he lands in a very good spot in terms of race flow, as this finale seems to feature several sped-types and he'll be looking to come from off the pace; first start for trainer Bill Morey, who does well with new faces (27%) as well as with horses off elongated layoffs (30%). -Kenny Peck | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:22 OP 9th LOVELY RIDE (#1, 9-2) appears to be the controlling speed in the Pippin, a race she won a year ago. She also had notable trouble last out in the Mistletoe. -Mary Rampellini | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:51 GG 5th Twice in December, trainer Tim McCanna won races at Golden Gate Fields with runners returning from layoffs of approximately nine months. The 5-year-old gelding UPSTART YANKEE (#1, 5-1) resumes racing in this one-mile race for the first time since early June, and, interestingly, is not eligible to be claimed for $12,500 since he is returning for a level equal to or greater than his last start after a lengthy layoff. With McCanna's record with runners returning from lengthy rests, and Upstart Yankee's encouraging form last spring, the gelding can be a factor from off the pace. -Steve Andersen | Bet this race with DRF Bets 6:24 GG 6th RUTHERFORD (#3, 4-1) gained vital synthetic track experience when he finished second in a race at this level, $12,500 claimers who are non-winners of two, on Dec. 9, in his Northern California debut. Rutherford was always near the front through a fast pace and was beaten a length. He could get a similar trip with a slightly better outcome in this field of eight. -Steve Andersen | Bet this race with DRF Bets 7:28 GG 8th INCREDIBLE SHOT (#5, 6-1) deserves another chance in this starter allowance at a mile after a tough trip through the stretch in a similar race at 1 1-16 miles on Dec. 9. Racing on the inside, Incredible Shot was moving closer to the front when he encountered traffic issues. Incredible Shot failed to recover, finishing fifth. A clean trip will be vital in this field, the largest of the day. -Steve Andersen | Bet this race with DRF Bets
