Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. Post Time: 11:30 ET Track: Gulfstream (1st Race) Horse: UNCLE'S GOLD (#15, 20-1) UNCLE'S GOLD would have to go from tough post if somehow drawing in off AE list but never better, might just overcome the draw in his present form. – Mike Welsch | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 12:32 ET Track: Gulfstream (3rd Race) Horse: KNOTY KNICKS (#7, 12-1) KNOTY KNICKS an improving sort from a Beyer standpoint, might just spring the mild upset if getting a little help up front. Not badly beaten by THOUSANDSTICKS in their two previous meetings and likely to offer a little value again today. – Mike Welsch | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 1:48 ET Track: Tampa Bay Downs (4th Race) Horse: MR BUSINESS (#3, 5-1) MR BUSINESS goes longer after he stopped on a loose lead going a mile but he did set a rapid pace there, and he could go further today if able to better back down the fractions; Beyers certainly fit well enough. – Kenny Peck | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 2:13 ET Track: Aqueduct (4th Race) Horse: FULL MOON MADNESS (#5, 4-1) FULL MOON MADNESS recent efforts look like a clear step back from the form he was in early last year, though he might not have run as poorly as it appears in any of his last four starts; took the race to an in form rival on the lead last time at Laurel, and had a head in front in the stretch before weakening late - Point Dume came right back to win the General George with a 103 Beyer; prior to that, he had a troubled trip in a Grade 3, and even his start at Parx last September was solid, as he gave away early position and was forced to swing wide before getting up for second; needs his best as he seeks a a defense of his Tom Fool title. – Mike Beer | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 2:15 ET Track: Fair Grounds (2nd Race) Horse: SOUTHERN QUEEN (#3, 6-1) SOUTHERN QUEEN could do well with a better break. Away especially slowly in her debut, thereafter running decently, and in her second start she beat seven while losing to a 7-10 favorite who came back with a competitive fourth facing LA N1X allowance foes. Just drawing a line through the turf route last time. Looks much better value than likely favorite What's Love, who has been no faster on the Beyers in her sprints. – Marcus Hersh | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 2:50 ET Track: Fair Grounds (3rd Race) Horse: INCA EMPIRE (#4, 6-1) INCA EMPIRE has raced just once for a tag as low as this $7.5K price, in May 2023, when he won by more than three lengths. Even hos middling late-autumn RP form would at least get him in the mix here, and looks like the short-stretch mile should really suit the gelding. – Marcus Hersh | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 3:23 ET Track: Oaklawn (5th Race) Horse: PLAUSIBLE DENILE (#1, 9-2) PLAUSIBLE DENILE is appealing from a class standpoint as he is one who has seen steeper. – Mary Rampellini | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 3:44 ET Track: Aqueduct (7th Race) Horse: FIREBALLIN (#2, 4-1) FIREBALLIN is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Beer). | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 3:49 ET Track: Tampa Bay Downs (8th Race) Horse: JESS SO FLATTERIN (#5, 5-1) JESS SO FLATTERIN was beaten over 27 lengths in his only other try on the main track, two back, but the fact that he earned a 51 Beyer speaks to how fast that race was, with the Chad Brown-trained and potential future star Emerging Market posting a figure of 96 in his debut; this colt is the first runner to come out of that race, and though he was off the board in his return that was on the grass, and he can be expected to fare better on the surface switch, and on the class drop. – Kenny Peck | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 4:34 ET Track: Gulfstream (11th Race) Horse: IMPERATRICE (#5, 8-1) IMPERATRICE ran big in defeat in the Forward Gal, getting hard used on front end dueling speedster Mythical, hanging on for second money behind ON TIME GIRL who got the absolutely dream trip out in better footing. Deserves a chance to reverse that decision with a better trip. – Mike Welsch | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 5:01 ET Track: Santa Anita (4th Race) Horse: SENSATIONAL Z Z (#5, 4-1) Los Alamitos-based speedster SENSATIONAL Z Z is the choice to win this $8k claiming starter with an up-front trip. She wired an 870-yard night race at LA last out; she finished second two starts back in a $10k claiming sprint at Santa Anita. She drew comfortably outside (post 5 of 7); her main pace rival is buried on the rail. 'Z Z can win with a front-running or pace-pressing trip. – Brad Free | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 6:06 ET Track: Santa Anita (6th Race) Horse: BLUEGRASS GO GO (#6, 7-2) BLUEGRASS GO GO benefits by easier company in this $10k claiming N3L sprint than he faced either recent start. He was overmatched last out for $25k claiming; two starts back he was unable to keep up with a front-runner who won by eight lengths. No such rivals for 'GO GO in this field. His races at LRC and Del Mar in Nov. and Dec. are fast enough; he has speed for a forwardly placed trip. – Brad Free | Get Past Performances for this race Post Time: 7:09 ET Track: Santa Anita (8th Race) Horse: DAKOTA'S SHADOW (#8, 9-2) DAKOTA'S SHADOW setting/pressing the pace and DARLIN SUGAREE rallying from behind give trainer Jeff Mullins two shots in this $25k claiming sprint for 3yo fillies. The call is the speed. DAKOTA'S SHADOW crushed Cal-bred maiden-20s by more than seven lengths last out, she is drawn in the favorable outside post where she has the option of pressing or setting the pace. Come and catch her. – Brad Free | Get Past Performances for this race Looking for more action? It’s easier than ever to pick a winner with DRF Newbie.
