DRF's Horse Racing Playbook for Saturday, December 4, 2021

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
12:10 TAM 1st LIKING IT TWISTED (#2, 5-1) was no match for the runaway winner in her latest but she was clear for the place, the 2nd time in two tries she was a remote 2nd in a dirt route; the figures she posted in those races make her a threat here, and she should benefit from a forward trip just off possible pacesetter SURREAL FANTASY. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
12:30 GP 2nd ENSIGN PARKER (#1, 5-1) looks loose if away running from the fence. Very dangerous if allowed to relax in front in this spot. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
12:55 WO 1st PICTUREDAY JESSICA (#5, 6-1) raced wide when a belated fourth at first asking in a shorter $15K sprint, in which DIAMOND CRUSH was a front-running second in her opener. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
12:58 GP 3rd SOUPER FLY OVER (#1, 12-1) among the few in here proven around two turns and likely to take advantage of inside post, get good position returning locally for just the second time. Old Pro has already defeated similar $8K starter opposition four times this year. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
3:05 WO 5th KARAKONTIE PAT (#12, 6-1) is dropping sharply from $15K to the bottom NW2 level off a slow-starting ninth-place finish, during which he raced wide over an inside-favoring track. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
3:10 TAM 7th DIA DE SOL (#7, 15-1) turns back after a two-turn maiden score at Parx, a game victory where she wore down the leaders late after racing behind a tepid early pace; she tries six furlongs for the first time in this Sandpiper Stakes but she should be nicely set up to make another late run, as there's a good amount of speed in this sprint. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
3:48 TAM 8th WINGSPUN (#9, 8-1) just missed in her grass debut two back, a deceptively good effort where she rallied nicely despite slow splits, and she returned to just miss in her latest despite having to sit off the leaders in a race lacking pace; dam posted both of her two wins on the green and this filly sports some nice works for this first start since September. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:04 WO 7th LADY WAR MACHINE (#9, 6-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Ron Gierkink). | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:32 GP 10th Distance may prove key to this one with many in here yet to prove mettle around two turns and certainly at a mile and one eighth. Nine furlongs should prove no obstacle, however, for HANALEI'S HOUDINI (#10, 6-1) who was obviously claimed out of last with this race as his goal. Not badly beaten in that key race at Keeneland by runner-up who came back to win a $50K starter race with 92 Beyer in his next start. Must work out early position from tough post. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:52 TAM 10th CALL ME CASSIUS (#3, 9-2) is kin to Echo Foxtrot, who won her own career debut, on the turf; this colt is one of two in here trainer by Arnaud Delacour, along with LUDO, and both of these firsters have to be strongly considered given the barn's success with debut runners on the turf. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:58 LRC 4th With a solid comeback win under her belt, MISS TOKYO (#5, 3-1) moves up in class in a race that could unfold perfectly. The two rivals to her outside both have speed, 'TOKYO could tuck into a cozy trip positioned just off the speed. She finished second her only previous start at LRC, and can wear them down from off the pace. -Brad Free | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
5:40 OP 10th TWISTED DIXIE (#4, 6-1) has represented himself quite well against open company maidens and with the meet now on at Oaklawn returns to racing with Arkansas-breds. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
6:39 WO 12th KATY AND EMMA (#13, 12-1) prevailed in a front-end battle before tiring in the lane while weaving back and forth in her latest. She's getting a rider upgrade to Chris Husbands here and could put it all together at a square price. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
9:59 RP 5th MATH MYSTERY (#8, 5-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers). | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
10:27 RP 6th MOONSHINE LILY (#11, 5-1) tries six furlongs for only the third time but we have excuses for her first two (debut and a non fast surface). She did beat half the field home in her most recent. That turf try three back hints at talent. We spy at least three in here with speed. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
11:23 RP 8th EUROMANTIC (#5, 5-1) goes for a sire we loved on track (Euroears). Current form is sharp yet this gelding is often a good price. Horse for course adds a half furlong and that might give him an edge. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
11:51 RP 9th FINISH LINE (#8, 5-1) is by an 8% debut sire. His dam went 16-2-2-5 and earned 184K. Two of three sibs won including a multiple winner of 244K (won 2YO debut). As of this writing, we only see two listed works but we are betting he was working somewhere before coming here. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
