DRF's Horse Racing Playbook for Saturday, December 26, 2020

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
12:25 LRL 1st BOSS LOGIC (#5, 4-1) in the Heft Stakes after the Oxbow gelding ran away and hid in first start following the Dale Capuano claim. Might be a bit dressed up after setting reasonable fractions against weaker competition, but he took pressure from favored Indian Lake before dusting that foe in the stretch. Showed he could win without the lead in his career debut and think those tactics could serve him well here. Ruiz departs for Kenny Had a Notion. – Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
12:35 GP 2nd BROOKS ALL MINE (#3, 8-1) is a DRF Best Bet- Mike Welsch. | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
12:43 TB 7th HACIENDA BLVD (20-1) sheds the blinkers, but still has speed and that is the key. We say that he presses the 1 and inherits a great trip when that foe falters. We like those Belterra tries 2 and 3 back. This barn popped with a $120 horse over the weekend. – Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets

1:05 GP 3rd DARK TIMBER (#4, 15-1) a well-bred sort by Mineshift out of a mare who banked $750K during her career. Comes up tagged for first time after exiting key turf sprint in Kentucky. Might lead these on a merry chase if allowed to show best speed, able to clear off from the outset. – Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
2:38 GP 6th FOCUS GROUP (#4, 5-1) has been away a long time, but is the class of the field and seems likely to handle the grueling 2 miles of this one without issue, even off the bench. – Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:17 TB 9th LADY CLEMENTINE (#6, 4-1) ran evenly in her debut, but it was on the turf versus CD foes. The Joseph barn is 23% with their second-time starters. This filly should improve in this spot and has at least three local works. Four of seven sibs beat winners and four earned over 100K. Turf to dirt and route to sprint are good moves for this barn. (29% and 23%, respectively). We like to see Camacho get a leg up. - Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets

4:23 LRL 9th Perhaps last time was the time at 10 to 1 odds for JOYFUL NOISE (#2, 6-1), but thought she looked pretty good besting three of these, and she’s turned into a pretty consistent performer since being claimed be Serey in the late spring. She tracked the pace outside under Grant Whitacre, angled three wide turning for home and didn’t have many issues in the stretch. Don’t think the extra furlong will hurt, and her tactical speed should have her within range when the real running starts. – Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:48 TB 10th IMA WILDCAT (#7, 20-1) is improving by the minute. He comes in fresh with speed in tow. He has won sprinting on the turf before. Curious as to price. – Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
5:09 SA 6th LEPRINO (#7, 6-1) rallied gamely to beat much cheaper at LRC Dec. 13. He gets a most-encouraging multiple-level price hike and Pyfer, who was up for that win, stays. He cost $700K a couple years ago so there were once big expectations. – Michael Hammersly | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
