Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook; something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day's action. 12:40 MTH 1st SUNSET PROVISION (#4, 12-1) was well up the course when last seen but he may have been too close to the pace in that speed-filled sprint; he had success early in his career when he was able to stalk the pace and make one run, and given that type of trip he could prove tough in his first start since February. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  2:07 WO 3rd KAVALA (#3, 8-1) has tailed off since ending up third in her local debut in the April 29 Star Shoot Stakes, and a change in surfaces to the turf could be just what the doctor ordered. The daughter of 5% turf sprint sire Mohaymen is out of a grasser who produced turf expert Claddagh Cure ($102K), who was a restricted allowance winner at Del Mar. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race  2:58 MTH 6th CORE FACTOR (#9, 15-1) usually turfs but he ran a better race than the running line might indicate, as he showed mild late interest despite racing behind slow fractions and a two-speed exacta; faster early splits could move him way up here. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  4:15 WO 7th LANTANA LADY (#7, 7-2) graduated at second asking in a five-furlong inner turf dash after putting away an early challenger for the lead July 30. The homebred worked a quick half-mile the other day and could strike again in this six-furlong main turf sprint for NW2. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race  4:25 MTH 9th FORMAL ORDER (#4, 6-1) was no match for the 4/5 favorite, Coach Adams, but the slow start cost him early position and he was left with too much to do; now back on the grass, and though he was far back on the wire he was also far back in the opening stages there, against a bulky field, and he showed mild late interest in the back of the pack through the wire. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  4:54 MTH 10th CAMPTOWN RACES (#7, 6-1) finally got some racing luck in that last one and he made it count, closing smartly through the lane with the aid of a very favorable race flow; he also rallied nicely in that loss two back (along with fellow next-out winner Mister J T) after losing all chance at the start in his prior sprint, and he can run them all down on the wire in this nightcap if he gets fast fractions once again. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  5:05 LAD 1st REALITOS (#1, 8-1) comes in fresh and draws the rail so a front running effort is more likely than not. The layoff was short anyway and this filly has worked since her most recent so all good there. This filly won two back and did so off a layoff, from the rail, and wire to wire. Let history repeat itself as pace makes the race. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race  5:20 GP 10th MO RISSA (#1, 5-1) gets a pivotal drop and returns to a distance and surface that produced her best result when 2nd here July 7. -Michael Hammersly | Get PPs for this race  5:33 LAD 2nd AMERICAN SMOOTH (#9, 6-1) was getting good at Lone Star before he arrived here and then never got a breather in his most recent. He still beat over half the field home. Now he cuts back to seven furlongs and draws best. He got a 57 Beyer going this distance only two back and that fits here. Today's pace is better than that one two back. Second time this dirt is another plus. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race  6:57 LAD 5th MISS NIMBUS (#1, 10-1) is by a 12% debut sire (all sire stats are for 2YO's only). Her dam went 19-4-0-5 and earned 184K. Of 6 sibs to race, 5 won and all 5 beat winners (best earned 647K, 80K, 125K, and 108K). This rail draw can be tricky for a first time starter but works are decent and the price might be the same. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race  7:25 LAD 6th NOBLE CONNECTION (#9, 6-1) ran OK two back and that was his first start on this dirt. He most recent was an even effort versus 11 foes but it was going seven furlongs. Now he returns to two turns and that might be for the best. The blinkers come OFF but this guy still has some speed. Jockey/trainer is a solid 21% locally. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race  8:05 CBY 5th MARVELOUS THUNDER (#1, 8-1) ran great just 3, 4, and 5 back and all came going short on this lawn. This guy puts races together and keeps his regular rider in Harr. This gelding gets good race flow and has run well from the rail on the green multiple times before. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race  8:35 RP 2nd GO GO GO (#4, 9-2) was right there for this price last out at Prairie Meadows. She owns this field's best last-race Beyer Speed Figure. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race  8:35 CBY 6th MO MESA (#3, 8-1) is by a 15% debut sire. His dam went 17-3-6-1 and earned 69K. Of 9 sibs to race, 7 won and all 7 beat winners. The four best earned: 96K, 129K, 352K, and 100K. Works are plentiful and well spaced all for a barn that is 4 for 10 with debut maidens (flat bet profit). -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race  9:03 RP 3rd RACHEL'S CAPER (#7, 4-1) is back in the overnight ranks after a fourth-place finish to a multiple stakes winner who was to have run Friday night at Charles Town in the $350K Hilton Memorial. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race  9:05 CBY 7th WHODOESITBETTER (#4, 10-1) tried two turns and the turf both for the first time in his most recent and ran evenly while tiring a tad late. His turf breeding is suspect as turf Tomlinson is only 147. He should improve second time two turns and second time on this dirt. Race flow is OK and we like that Wade keeps the faith. We are curious as to price. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race  12:19 RP 10th DEN'S DYNASTY (#1, 6-1) has fired competitive races in each of his two starts to date and is a logical choice back. The rail draw is a bit of a trick. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race
