Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 12:57 LRL 2nd NEOLITHICA (#3, 9-2) showed speed vs. tougher to press the pace but paid for that early toil, fading to 4th. She drops and maybe that's just what the Dr. ordered. -Michael Hammersly  1:10 GP 1st DID I DAZZLE YOU (#1, 8-1) is by a 13% debut sire. Homebred's dam is 27-4-5-5 and banked 57K. Of 4 sibs to race, 3 won and all 3 beat winners (28K, 454K, and 118K). We spy one sib that won its 2YO debut. The rail draw hurts a tad but we think the price will entice as most bettors gravitate towards the 4 and 5. -Scott Ehlers  1:20 AQU 5th MISS LAO (#3, 8-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Beer). 2:04 KEE 3rd Video of the gate drill from CARNITINE (#3, 8-1) on March 15 was very encouraging, other than his unwillingness to change leads in stretch despite being repeatedly asked. Long, strong gallop out after what looked like good gate speed. Came back with two more fast ones after that breeze and has been on a steady local pattern for months. Dam, fwiw, won her debut. -Marcus Hersh 2:19 TAM 5th DAMASO (#7, 9-2) posted a very strong figure in her win over claiming non-winners of three two back, and though she didn't run to that Beyer in her return she was game to the wire there, losing by just a length to the odds-on winner; may be the controlling speed today once again. -Kenny Peck  2:26 AQU 7th CASCAIS (#1, 10-1) shaped with potential early and came back from a long layoff last October with a strong effort on the lead; Cigar Mile try two back is easy enough to forgive, and he did not appear to be comfortable over that wet track when disappointing last time; has much to prove now but willing to give him the chance to bounce back at a price if the track is fast. -Mike Beer  3:00 SA 1st DANZINGWITH MAXINE (#4, 5-1) debuts in a Cal-bred turf sprint with a series of fast works and a win-early pedigree. Her full sister Youteyourhonor won first time out for trainer Cliff Sise, who trains 'MAXINE. Although progeny of Danzing Candy generally prefer dirt, sibling Youteyourhonor won on turf. 'MAXINE looks live first out against a modest field. -Brad Free  3:15 OP 4th OLLIEMEISTER (#6, 4-1) exits a key race. The fourth-place finisher came back in his next start to account for a $50K conditioned claimer at OP with a Beyer of 82 and the sixth-place finisher, a $25K claimer at OP with a Beyer of 85. -Mary Rampellini  3:30 AQU 9th ELIMINATE (#8, 8-1) lost as the favorite when sprinting on debut at Saratoga but he ran well that day while exchanging stretch bumps with Wood Memorial favorite Deterministic; did not stretch out effectively after that, but improved noticeably when turned back to sprint in February; gets a pass for the Gotham last time when getting far back early and staying toward the deeper inside paths over a very wet track; like him cutting back for this. -Mike Beer 3:40 KEE 6th Say what you want about the maidens BO CRUZ (#6, 12-1) crunched going sprint to route in his second career start (not much good to say about them), but Equivoque, whom he trounced at Churchill, was making his second start after a 96 Beyer debut win at Keenerland, and Bo Cruz's third behind Disarm and a still-in-form Verifying in the Matt Win was quite encouraging -- especially considering that race was at 1 1/8 miles, and the move her to 7f comes because connections suspect this is more of a miler. -Marcus Hersh  3:41 GP 6th PLATINUM ROCKER (#5, 5-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers).  3:55 TAM 8th DESERT RULER (#9, 12-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Kenny Peck).  4:09 GP 7th JUPITER BLUES (#2, 12-1) is much better of late and it came with the surface switch to the synth hence a new synth horse. This gelding is capable in a shortened sprint, draws a tad better, keeps regular rider, can pass foes, and catches a race with some pace. Oh, a good price is almost assured. -Scott Ehlers 4:27 TAM 9th SMART SPENDING (#7, 6-1) comes back from the layoff and is entered for a tag, and while that can be viewed as a negative she probably needn't run to her best turf figures to win this; previous success over this course adds to the appeal. -Kenny Peck  4:37 GP 8th LADY MADONNA (#7, 6-1) had to work for it but she was able to break her maiden last out in her turf debut. We bet this filly is still working things out as she was reluctant to load in her most recent. She is bred to love two turns on the sod and team Pletcher is 20% with horses that won their last race. This 3YO did cost 675K and we love the fact that she has worked four times since said maiden breaker. -Scott Ehlers 4:48 KEE 8th BIG POND (#7, 20-1) rates a strong chance of outrunning her odds, even of those odds are not as high as the morning line. Believe she's in for a good trip and that her speed figure last out more accurately reflects her capability than the two lower numbers that preceded it. Encouraging workout video from March 16 and March 29. -Marcus Hersh  5:20 KEE 9th FRONT RUN THE FED (#8, 20-1) for much of his career has been miscast as a 7-8 furlong grass horse; six furlongs is good for him, and 5 1/2 might be even better, and nearly all his peak performances have come at one of those two distances. The gelding went to Santa Anita for the Hernandez Stakes late in 2022 and ran below form; same thing happened late last year. From 2022 Hernandez, it was on to a winter break, then into a high-end KEE turf sprint allowance comparable in quality to the Shakertown, and under this rider, the gelding easily was fastest home to win in eye-catching fashion. -Marcus Hersh  6:54 GG 4th TURA LURA (#3, 8-1) returns to a sprint for the first time since early March, and should have conditions in her favor in this starter allowance-$10,000 optional claimer. Even though the race drew only six fillies and mares, a strong pace is likely, which will help Tura Lura, who runs as a closer. Fourth in a one-mile race in her last start, Tura Lura won as recently as Jan. 6 in a $6,250 claimer for sprinters, closing from fifth. She could get the same trip here. -Steve Andersen  9:01 GG 8th DIPLOMATIC (#2, 4-1) finished a troubled fourth in a $12,500 claimer for maidens at 5 1-2 furlongs in her second career start on March 24 and can easily show improvement against a weak field in this $8,000 claimer for maidens at five furlongs. Diplomatic breaks from post 2 in a field of nine, which should help her stalking style. -Steve Andersen
