12:00 GP 1st Siding with MIRANDA SOFIA (#7, 8-1) in the noon ET opener for a barn (Avila) that's shown itself to be very adept this year, including with the Ky. Derby prospect King Guillermo; looks like they've been trying to get her on the grass for quite a while now; fits with these lower-level maidens. -Marty McGee
2:37 GP 6th Quite the dominant effort by CHANNELED'S ANGEL (#8, 5-1) across the peninsula last month as the Tampa meet wound down; up a rung on the 'beaten' ladder today, she finds a spot that's not all that demanding, assuming she runs another good one right back for the '77 St. X grad, Ocala Art. -Marty McGee
3:41 GP 8th Turf-to-dirt angle very much in play for THE BIG JOKER (#12, 8-1) who's yet another live wire on a busy afternoon for the Baxter barn; the two-back main-track score plus the last-out speed show strongly suggest he'll be setting sail at once from the cozy outer post. -Marty McGee

4:33 LAD 2nd SEE WHAT'S WHAT (#2, 7-2) has hit the exacta in 5 of 9 starts so we know she likes it here. She ran evenly in her return try and should be all set to improve second off it. The Foster barn is 13% off the claim. We wouldn't be shocked if this filly showed some speed. -Scott Ehlers
5:01 LAD 3rd AFRICAN WARRIOR (#7, 6-1) escaped full fields at Oaklawn and made himself at home here when winning at 16-1. He won by 4 1/2 lengths. We love that bullet work on the 27th. Connections find a good spot and we like how this gelding draws outside. Smith is riding well. -Scott Ehlers
5:40 CBY 1st L' CRISTABAL (#6, 5-1) tried the turf AND two turns for the first time previously and that isn't easy. Plus, it was his first local start. He was right there with a furlong to go before tiring. He got little play at 14-1. The Berndt barn is 19% second off this type of layoff and 20% turf to dirt. This gelding draws best and should love an elongated sprint if those one turn miles at GP are any indication. -Scott Ehlers

5:55 LAD 5th T. J. B. OORAH (#7, 6-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers).
8:10 CBY 6th MOMMA'S BABY BOY (#8, 6-1) is in good form. Those Will Rogers races were especially good this year due to Covid. This gelding gets good race flow and figures a decent price. A bullet work is noted. -Scott Ehlers
8:40 CBY 7th CHANCE TO SHINE (#3, 15-1) is going to be a big price. She is a new turf horse that goes for a good turf barn. As expected, works are well spaced. This filly draws well and is only a 4YO so we don't think we have seen her best yet. Lone poor turf race came two back and notice it was a non firm turf. -Scott Ehlers
