Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 1:10 LRL 2nd TITRATE (#4, 6-1) received a pretty easy trip when graduating at Colonial Downs last month. He utilized his good speed to make the lead and faced pressure from a 114 to 1 shot that faded to eighth. He was in control of things turning for home and held sway without much fuss. This seems like a logical spot for his first try against winners and should be up and on the lead once again. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  1:15 MTH 3rd SPRING INTO ACTION (#4, 8-1) has shown some speed in his morning works, and the fact that her dam, Spring Into Action, won her own debut certainly suggests that she’ll come out running for trainer Rafael Schistl; the dam was best sprinting but she produced a turf winner in Nip of Bourbon, who broke his maiden over this surface. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  1:40 LRL 3rd WHATCHASAID (#4, 8-1) showed brief speed three wide, seemed outpaced while widest on the turn, then finished mildly for fourth in career debut. Curious to see how this second-time starter fares with the addition of Lasix. Low-profile barn almost ensures nice price on the tote. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race 1:45 MTH 4th HARDCORE FOLKLORE (#7, 7-2) not only posted a strong Beyer in that last loss but he did it the hard way, closing ground late in a race that was light on speed; he was also against the race flow two back yet ran a decent race, but given a better set up in this race he may be able to make the last run. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  2:15 MTH 5th CINQUE AMORE (#2, 7-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Kenny Peck). | Get PPs for this race 2:34 BEL 4th MIDNIGHT STROLL (#9, 8-1) took money in his Saratoga debut on dirt and tired in the stretch after getting away poorly from the gate; switches right over with some pedigree (dam is a sister to the underrated turf horse Coalport - Grade 3 win and over $600k in earning on this surface) and Terranova has good numbers with this move from limited starters. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race 2:45 MTH 6th LEND AMERICA (#9, 7-2) was off the board in his first start against winners but he had a legit race flow excuse, as he had to make a premature move after racing behind a controlled pace early on; expecting a better effort here if he gets a more contested pace. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  3:06 BEL 5th SAND DANCER (#7, 8-1) is showing some recent gaps in his form while not exactly running his best races, but he has always been a bit underrated and is plenty capable of going with these horses as he puts races together for the first time since being re-claimed by these connections; actually has some speed in what appears to be a paceless race and picks up an aggressive rider. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race 3:14 LRL 6th FIFTEEN ROYALS (#6, 6-1) is a half-sister to first-turf winner Lunar Rille and tries the grass for the first time in third start following 189-day layoff. She was entered for turf on four prior occasions (not as a Main Track Only runner) only to be moved to dirt. Most recent bullet work matches up with uncoupled stablemate Ellanation. Perhaps they breezed in company. Finished behind Olive Kat last time and was flattered somewhat when that mare returned to finish second on Delaware turf with a 72 Beyer. Can get close to the expected moderate pace. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  3:30 GP 4th MISS BLUEBIRD (#1, 5-1) is a bit of a stab as she raced greenly in her debut, but she did show good speed after getting off to a less than perfect start. She came back with a decent work, drops into a maiden claimer, and unless one of the first-time starters has speed, she could be alone up front. No guarantee she will carry her speed the whole way, though. -Randy Goulding | Get PPs for this race  3:46 LRL 7th It’s all about pace for late-running MY GOOD MAN (#9, 9-2), who attempted to rally from last into slow splits set by gate-to-wire winner Closer Look over speed-friendly Pimlico surface. Curlin gelding rallied widest into the stretch and tried hard to get second. Expect him to drop back to last and hope for some help up front. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race 4:44 BEL 8th BAY STORM (#1, 8-1) showed potential in her debut last year while losing position early and then accelerating late to finish a game 3rd, then sat a much better trip when easily breaking her maiden in her final start before the layoff; wasn’t a real threat in her return last time but she was always on the outside and she did get in a bit tight late while staying on. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race 4:58 LRC 3rd YOUR ROYAL COIL (#5, 7-2) has run well against better company than she meets in this restricted claiming sprint. Third last out at a 1,000-yard distance that was perhaps too short, she stretches to six furlongs. Her two wins and two seconds were at this distance. This is her second start since claimed by trainer Milton Pineda, who is 4-for12 second off the claim the past year. -Brad Free | Get PPs for this race 5:53 WO 3rd TREBUCHET (#4, 12-1) hasn’t shown much on the Tapeta, but the son of Reload is out of a turf stakes winner who’s produced a trio of grass winners. He’s certainly eligible to wake up with the drop in class and surface change. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race  6:12 GP 9th MY D’VALENTINE (#2, 10-1) is a bit of a stab, but is a half-sister to three debut winners and has been working well enough. Barn has not had a lot of success with first-time starting 2-year-olds, so she is only a play if the price is decent. -Randy Goulding | Get PPs for this race  7:52 WO 7th STREGA (#2, 6-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Ron Gierkink). | Get PPs for this race  8:21 WO 8th UNDEFILED (#1, 12-1) raced four-wide throughout when seventh among three nextout winners while coming off the bench vs. $15K maidens July 23. He’s dropping to $10K and could make some noise as the longer-priced Casse entrant. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race
