DRF's Horse Racing Playbook for Friday, October 29, 2021

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
12:25 LRL 1st ENTHRONED (#1, 6-1) might be racing back into shape as this will be her fourth start following a 312-day layoff. Had a pretty soft trip in recent return to turf as she faced only token early pressure from a 122 to 1 shot that eventually finished last. Opened up a bit on the turn and faded in between horses. Shouldn't be too far off the lead. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
12:35 BEL 1st DAZZY (#1, 4-1) a firster by new sire Divining Rod (connecting with 22% of his debut runners so far), out of a dam who was a debut winner with a 71 Beyer; Hills is underrated overall, and he has had three debut winners over the past five years for a $2.28 ROI, with another seven such runners hitting the board, all at prices. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
1:27 LRL 3rd BEAUTIFUL TIZ (#5, 9-2) broke slowly last time out at Delaware, maneuvered into the pocket on the second turn, was forced to alter course to the far outside in upper stretch and rallied with some interest to just miss second. Believe she'll get a good amount of pace to attack in this big field. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
2:26 GP 4th EQUULEUS (#6, 9-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers). | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
2:31 LRL 5th MOHAAFETH (#1, 5-1) has taken slight steps forward in each start and the hulking (1,266 lbs. on Oct. 2) son of Tapit should appreciate stretching out a bit in distance for his fourth lifetime try. Tracked inside going a one-turn mile, seemed outpaced a bit after a half, swung widest and was rallying. He took advantage of a solid pace in that spot and might need a similar situation to present itself here. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:21 BEL 8th CHLOE ROSE (#6, 12-1) was an easy winner switching from turf to dirt at Saratoga on the drop, then came right back to run well again for this tag at Saratoga, though she was only second-best in that spot; off the claim for an underrated trainer after appearing not to handle that wet track last month. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:44 KEE 8th MAJESTIC D'ORO (#7, 6-1) has two siblings to race, one who has raced competitively over 1 3/4 miles, the other more of a sprinter. This comes up because the inclination is just to put her fading fifth last out i the Pocahontas down to an inability to stay two turns, even though her dam is by stamina influence Medaglia d'Oro. Average winning distance for the sire's offspring, however, is just 6.2 furlongs, and I'll guess this filly at least right now wants to stalk and pounce in sprints like this. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:45 WO 1st GREY SOCIETY (#2, 8-1) is a full-sister to the 2yo stakes-winning router Gun Society, who was campaigned by owner/trainer/breeder Attfield. She's worked extensively and could be ready for this two-turn maiden special. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:52 BEL 9th BUY LAND AND SEE (#7, 12-1) has much to prove as he steps into the toughest race of his career in the Oyster Bay but he might be quite a bit better than he looks, and getting more distance to work with second off the layoff can also benefit him after getting into a tough spot and losing position behind a rated pace last time; needs his absolute best but he is going to be a price here. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
5:13 WO 2nd COLTONS DREAM (#11, 20-1) is moving up off a troubled fifth vs. $25K NW2 stock on the main track. He can handle either surface, and could make some noise at a square price with Flores taking over. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
5:16 KEE 9th The Valley View goes much deeper than it's G1 sister race, the QE II run two Saturdays ago, and there is quality along with the depth. Have to side with BREAKER OF CHAINS (#8 8-1), who was just so impressive winning her N American debut at KD last out. Missed the break and set herself a very difficult task yet won going away. Solid performance in Ireland, too, where she stayed nine furlongs going left handed on a soft course at Leopardstown - circumstances similar to what she'll encounter in the Valley View. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
6:46 WO 5th LAC MACAZA (#1, 10-1) got away slowly before rallying wide from off slow splits for second in his encouraging debut going long on the Tapeta. He has some turf breeding and could put it all together here after breaking from the rail, regardless of the surface. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
10:55 RP 7th MISTER MMMMM (#2, 9-2) met winners for the first time last out and ran a big race - missing by a head and popping a career-high Beyer Speed Figure of 85. It's the best last-race number in this field. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
11:51 RP 9th CHIKARA (#10, 6-1) finished in front of some of these last out when a close-up second over the local course - where she is a three-time winner. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
