Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 1:20 GP 2nd SOLOMONS GOLD (#3, 8-1) stays put off the claim, worked solid 5/8 over Tapeta for new connections, Might try to steal this one on front end with Jaramillo up on stretch to a mile. -Mike Welsch  1:50 GP 3rd MINXY (#1, 5-1) and GO LIL LADY (#4, 8-1) strictly workout plays both showing well in the a.m. when rating their speed, finishing strong in all recent trials. Should offer some value in very wide open mix featuring tons of pace. -Mike Welsch  2:04 KEE 3rd BROADWAY RED (#6, 15-1) is by Flameaway, who has been a hit as a first crop sire and clearly gets precocious 2yos. This horse shows a $6K auction price and debuts for five times that amount. Plenty of Turfway work for this and the jock comes with the horse. -Marcus Hersh  2:12 BAQ 4th STYLE POINTS (#2, 6-1) is by a very good new sire in Oscar Performance (14% wins with 2yo first-time starters, 16% with turf routers), and is out of a dam who won a Grade 2 and placed in a Grade 1 on turf (also for these connections); drew well toward the inside for Clement, who is among the best around with first-time starters. -Mike Beer 2:20 GP 4th ASHIMA (#3, 20-1) was never a factor in debut against MSW level now stretches out, switches to Tapeta off a pretty decent work over the surface prepping for this. Expect big improvement in this relatively soft spot. -Mike Welsch  2:21 WO 3rd SOLAR (#7, 6-1) aired on the front end in his penultimate race in an identical spot before a three-wide fifth most recently in a tough starter/optional claimer on the inner turf. His trainer was 0 for 9 second time off a claim during the past five years, but four of those runners made the board. -Ron Gierkink 2:49 GP 5th COPANELLO BAY (#8, 15-1) has been freshened while in new hands for local bow. Flashed good speed, stamina from gate in final prep for this. NORFIE another switching barns since last, will give some respect off that very fast Tapeta work last weekend. -Mike Welsch  2:54 WO 4th CHASING TROUBLE (#2, 7-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Ron Gierkink). 3:16 BAQ 6th MASTER PIECE (#6, 9-2) has concentrated on longer distances since arriving in North America, though there is an argument to be made that he is at his best over middle distances, as evidenced by his 3 for 4 record over this trip, which includes a 103 Beyer allowance win and a dominant win in last year's Grade 2 Eddie Read with a 99; good effort two back when finishing gamely into a slow pace for second. -Mike Beer 3:28 WO 5th TRUE SHOT (#3, 20-1) blew the break in his dismal debut vs. maiden special stock on the grass in July. The first-time gelding deserves a mulligan off the layoff in this $15K Tapeta sprint with the addition of blinkers. -Ron Gierkink 3:32 LRL 7th SIR ALFRED JAMES (#6, 6-1) was very game winning at seven-eighths last month. Pressed three wide, attacked outside in tandem with the runner-up under a very confident ride, then turned back that foe. It appears this classy veteran is rounding back into his best form, and he's won at this shorter distance in the past. Barn went 3 for the last 11 (27%, $2.80 ROI) with last-out winners returning on dirt. -Dan Illman  4:02 WO 6th DOT'S VISION (#3, 12-1), Fort Erie's 2023 Horse of the Year, is stepping up off a $6.25K claim and a blowout score on the turf at the border oval. He's 2 for 2 with the hot bug Vives riding and should make some noise if he stays in the zone. -Ron Gierkink 4:39 LRL 9th CATCHING STARS (#10, 12-1) ran pretty well two back behind odds-on Sheriff Ronnie (next-out third in first-level allowance with 73 Beyer) when finishing ahead of two next-out winners. Tracked that slow pace from in between, made a three-wide bid into the turn, then held second despite drifting in the stretch. Didn't have much of a chance last time out when outsprinted along the inside behind a hot pace, and locked on the rail from the three-eighths to the wire. -Dan Illman 5:16 KEE 9th ALEX JOON (#6, 15-1) figures to be overlooked but has two decent-to-good KEE turf starts and might just be good enough to post an upset. The race shape and his position going 9f during the KEE spring meet this year weren't ideal, and making one run from farther behind, as he did in a good mile try a year ago, suits him better. -Marcus Hersh  5:48 KEE 10th PISTOL OR SHOTGUN (#5, 20-1) away since April but fresher can be better this time of year and his work pattern for the comeback is encouraging. Has the right running style for this speed-packed spot and has run fast enough to make the most of a setup if he's ready. -Marcus Hersh  6:04 SA 5th This maiden-claiming turf route is a reasonable spot to take a shot with CHRISTINA'S CANDY (#4, 4-1), who stretches out for the first time and drops from MSW. She showed speed and tired all three turf sprints, and now goes long while benefitting from a seven-pound apprentice allowance. If she clears the rival to her inside, she can steal it. -Brad Free  9:05 RP 3rd LADY ZEPHYR (#4, 5-1) has speed in an asset that will serve her well in this large field of 12. -Mary Rampellini 11:01 RP 7th GOTTA SEE RED (#6, 6-1) is back on dirt for the Daily Racing Form Distaff and the last two times she ran on the surface she won back-to-back races at a distance similar to this one. Those wins included the More Than Even Stakes at Will Rogers Downs. -Mary Rampellini  12:37 RP 10th ROWDY RASCAL (#6, 6-1) was third last out in the Red Earth, which produced some significant starters for the Oklahoma Classics Cup earlier on the card Friday. The race last time was this one's first start since July. -Mary Rampellini
