Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 12:20 GP 1st CHINA BLUE (#8, 8-1) often breaks sharp and that will come in handy off the layoff. Her even running style when going short might bode well for her route debut. We find that horses that like the local grass often do the same on the synth. Class drop rounds out the appeal. – Scott Ehlers  1:40 AQU 4th The purses at Kentucky Downs are wildly inflated so suppose that LATHAM RIDGE (#6, 6-1) might have been shipped there to make his debut with intent, though that sure looked like a prep for Authenitc filly who has more of a dirt pedigree; ships right back to NY and is entered on dirt with Irad sticking; expecting an improved effort. – Mike Beer 1:45 WO 2nd BUCK'S FIZZ (#7, 4-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Ron Gierkink).  2:32 GP 5th REPLEVIN (#8, 6-1) has some speed and two good turf sprints (1 and 3 back). We like how this guy switched tracks and ran well as he tries another new sod today. Team Dibona is 24% with new runners. – Scott Ehlers  2:40 AQU 6th LOCKE AND KEY (#9, 5-1) still hasn't won a race on this surface after nine attempts, and has finished behind several of these rivals along the way, though he has run well on the surface without fail and has also had some trips along the way; gets a pass for that last on when in way too tough; lacked room inside while rallying two starts back in a race from which seven of these same horses emerge (including a couple of AEs); needs a trip. – Mike Beer  2:50 WO 4th FORESTER HUMOR (#3, 5-1) brings improving form to this bottom conditioned contest, although he benefited from an inside bias when second most recently. He could end a drought with the capable Nicholls getting the call for a trainer who won a race last week. – Ron Gierkink  3:33 GP 7th HAPPY WORLD (#8, 20-1) tries much easier and with local drills in tow. Race flow is fast if all stay in and this filly wants to pass runners. We like that this horse won the last time she dropped into restricted claimers and did so at 5/2 (six back). She blew the start two back so forget it and notice that she ran well before and after that. A better price than some of these we would think. – Scott Ehlers  3:40 AQU 3:40 WHISKEY DECISION (#4, 8-1) was impressive winning her first two turf starts, including a stakes race at Delaware; got headstrong and paid the price when favored in a Grade 1 at Del Mar in August, then was strongly rated and never got into position to be effective in that last one; willing to give her the chance to bounce back as she lands in a race that might be run at a strong pace, which would allow her to settle a bit before coming with her run. – Mike Beer 4:10 AQU 9th TOUPIE (#4, 3-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Beer).
