1:00 WO 1st MACHISIMA (#7, 8-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Ron Gierkink). | Get PPs for this race
1:15 LRL 3rd ETCHED IN STONE (#6, 6-1) returns to turf after being washed off last month. Good try on the green two back at Delaware as he broke slow, stalked outside, made a three-wide bid, and was gaining late (the winner returned to miss by a nose in a $6,000 starter at Colonial with a 76 Beyer). -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race
1:23 AQU 4th SHANES PRETTY LADY (#6, 5-1) caught wet tracks in her last three starts before the layoff, including that first one off the claim for Rudy when showing only brief speed going a mile. Starts back from the layoff in the right spot with the back races to be tough in here. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race
1:32 WO 2nd QUIET REBEL (#8, 6-1) rallied four-wide entering the stretch before fading to sixth over an inside-biased track in a recent $10K NW2 tilt. He's descending to the bottom NW2 level in this $5K route and should make some noise if things go his way. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race
2:05 WO 3rd RACE FOR PINKS (#3, 9-2) ran his first clunker of the meet last time in an optional starter, from which he was claimed by a trainer who's having a good year. He's turning back from seven-eighths to the more suitable distance of 5 1/2 furlongs in this $25K claimer and should get back on track with Moran climbing aboard. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race
2:35 WO 4th CARMENOOTZ (#4, 12-1) is plunging to the lower ranks for his second start off the bench and has worked well leading up this $10K optional starter. The veteran has obviously seen better days, but this seems like a field that he can beat in his second try with Lasix. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race
2:43 AQU 6th VAX (#4, 8-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Beer). | Get PPs for this race
2:50 LRL 6th SHACKINTHEBOX (#1, 6-1) raced four-wide through around the turn two back when wired in a slow-paced race over a speed-friendly Pimlico surface. He was bumped hard from both sides at the start here three weeks ago, then tracked the slow pace from in between. Outpaced and hard-ridden on the turn, he re-rallied a bit to grab the show. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race
4:28 LRL 9th WESRIGHT (#3, 8-1) is out of a half-sister to Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies winner Ria Antonia and stakes-winning synthetic router Cross the Line from the family of Grade 1 winner Behaving Badly. Bargain yearling purchase seems well-entered for career debut. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race
4:45 AQU 9th NOSTALGIC (#4, 8-1) won three of the first four dirt starts of her career, including the Grade 3 Gazelle over course and distance back in April with an 86 Beyer. Has been in very tough since to no avail and didn't run as poorly as it looks in the Kentucky Oaks while enduring a very tough trip. Turf to dirt again looking to get back on track. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race
4:45 GG 2nd DR. FLASH DANCER (#7, 8-1) looks well-positioned in his second start of the year from an outside post in a field of seven. Trained by Faith Taylor, Dr. Flash Dancer broke from the rail in an $8,000 claimer for maidens at Fresno on Oct. 15 and dueled for the lead before fading in the final furlong. The gelding figures to be near the front again in this field from an outside post regardless if jockey Anne Sanguinetti sends Dr. Flash Dancer to the front or stalks the pace. -Steve Andersen | Get PPs for this race
6:07 GG 4th MY SPY (#5, 9-2) won her debut at Los Al in July and has been beaten in three starts against winners. The 3-year-old filly set the pace in her last two starts before fading, and may be better suited to stalking what should be a rapid pace in this field. My Spy has her first start for trainer Isidro Tamayo in this race, having been claimed for $4,000 on Oct. 8 when third in a race at this level at Fresno. -Steve Andersen | Get PPs for this race
7:20 WBS (Harness) 2nd HEAVENSDOR HANOVER (#9, 7-2) raced well versus tougher last time and this is a spot where driver Macdonald could blast with him tonight on the class drop; top call. – Garnet Barnsdale | Get PPs for this race
8:07 GG 8th SACRED RIDER (#8, 9-2) is in the midst of a three-race winning streak in races at a mile and 1 1-16 miles and will have his debut here at 1 1-4 miles. The 5-year-old gelding was claimed by Jonathan Wong from Steve Specht for $16,000 on Oct. 1 and claimed back by Specht for $25,000 on Oct. 9. In those races, and in a win in a $16,000 claimer on Sept. 11, Sacred Rider set the pace. He did win from a stalking position in July and may be better suited to that kind of trip in this field. -Steve Andersen | Get PPs for this race
8:15 YR (Harness) 6th QUALITY BUD (#7, 6-1) was compromised a bit at the start as a longshot rival next to him left in his face, making him work hard to get the lead. Once there he faced relentless pressure and only gave way late in a big effort. Veteran is overdue. – Matt Rose | Get PPs for this race
8:35 RP 2nd LET'S GO ALAMO (#7, 6-1) is a turf sprint specialist who might be tough to handle if he runs back to the Beyer Figure of 81 that he earned two starts ago. The outside draw here might give Elliott options. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race
9:31 RP 4th CANDY TAP (#1, 9-2) ran a promising race in her debut, when beaten just a half-length. The Beyer Speed Figure of 52 that she earned is the best career number in the field. MAZI brings a nice amount of racing experience to the table, and the starts have come against steeper. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race
10:27 RP 6th SUMMER LIGHTNING (#12, 12-1) has some back class to call upon. She also gets off the fence and the outside draw could give Alvarez options. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race
