DRF's Horse Racing Playbook for Friday, November 20, 2020

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
12:22 AQU 2nd NO PAYNE (#8, 6-1) finished behind a couple of these in her debut going seven furlongs, where she raced a bit like a horse in need of experience after getting away at the back of that field; slight cut back for her second start. -Mike Beer |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
12:35 GPW 1st BEATING THE ODDS (#8, 4-1) taken as a price play on the theory that race could really tie up late if both Jo Jo’sCandy and Charlieanna go with both appearing destined for early speed duel. -Mike Welsch |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
1:04 GPW 2nd Going with pair of experienced stable mates STRONG AZTECA (#4, 6-1) and IZSHEFROSTED (#2, 5-2) to fight for top prize here. Former chased wicked fast pace in race that has since produced pair of next out winners, adds blinkers, might not look back. -Mike Welsch |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets

1:45 AQU 5th COLONEL TOM (#3, 8-1) never quite panned out for his original connections, but he ran some fast races for them and also won his only start over Aqueduct turf, which came in his promising career debut as a 2yo; did get a good trip last time at Delaware but he also ran well that day and appears to have improved since being claimed by this trainer. -Mike Beer |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
1:53 LRL 4th KEEPING THE PEACE (#5, 9-2) stretches out around two turns for the first time in his career and figures to be among the pacesetters after chasing fast fractions over a sloppy six furlongs last time out. Cintron lands here instead of Empty Nestr and Gotta Get Away. Must overcome a speedy sprint pedigree. -Dan Illman |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
2:23 LRL 5th CASSEY’S GIRL (#9, 8-1) was purchased for $13,000 at Fasig-Tipton in July and paid immediate dividends for new connections with facile gate-to-wire score against bottom maidens. She was hustled out of there to set a pressured yet reasonable pace along the inside. Once asked for run in the stretch, she really poured it on. Perhaps she’s found a home over this circuit, but will face tougher from a pace and class standpoint. -Dan Illman |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
2:33 GPW 5th ZIA’S SONG (#7, 10-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Welsch). |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets

2:45 AQU 7th SPEIGHTSTOWN GAL (#11, 6-1) and PLAYTONE start for the same trainer and would prefer the one who winds up being the better price at post time. SPEIGHTSTOWN GAL may wind up being bet based on her turf form, which would obviously be a bad thing and should send you in a different direction, but she earned a low figure in her lone dirt start to date and ran much better than it may appear in that race after attempting to wheel at the break. -Mike Beer |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
3:05 GPW 6th SMELL OF ROSES (#4, 12-1) has never shown much on the dirt but does hold major pace advantage here if hustled along from the outset. Could spring the upset getting brave if loose easily enough up front. -Mike Welsch |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
3:23 LRL 7th A GIRL NAMED JAC (#8, 10-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Dan Illman). |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
3:47 AQU 9th EYE OF A SOLDIER (#5, 4-1) didn’t have a real excuse in that last one but she did look a bit keen while racing up to the early lead in that spot before getting overtaken by the upwardly mobile Capital Structure, and then failing to hold second over WINDFALL PROFIT late; doesn’t need to be ridden that way and not sure that there is really that much between her and the improved WINDFALL PROFIT. -Mike Beer |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets

5:15 WO 2nd WHERE’S THE WIDGET (#8, 8-1) is riding the wave of a three-race win streak in the lower ranks under Fukumoto. The classy veteran had a longer win streak during his formative years, and could strike again in this $20K claimer. -Ron Gierkink |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
5:30 DMR 5th VODKA TWIST (#8, 3-1) may have been in a bit too deep in his last 3. The drop helps and he returns to the site of a game win at this same distance July 26. – Michael Hammersly |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
5:45 WO 3rd PHASE OUT (#9, 12-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Ron Gierkink). |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
8:45 WO 9th ELEKTRONIC (#8, 8-1) ran gamely at this N1X class last time right off the $25K claim, when he just missed after giving it a big speed try. His tactical speed may come in handy here Kimura back aboard. -Ron Gierkink |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
9:14 WO 10th IN SEARCH OF (#10, 9-2) went four-wide on both turns before closing for fourth behind two of his current rivals when dropping to this $25K maiden class under Singh three weeks ago. He could graduate at a square price if he doesn’t have too wide a journey. -Ron Gierkink |Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
