1:10 WO 1st SHINIGAMI (#7, 6-1) is continuing to cheapen up off a front-running fifth vs. OS/$40K maidens going long in his first Tapeta start and could wire this group with good speed rider Flores taking over. – Ron Gierkink

1:23 GP 3rd PARTY QUEEN (#8, 4-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Welsch).

2:01 GP 4th CAJUN'S COOKIN (#4, 6-1) benefitted from race which collapsed late when debuting over a wet track but was well backed and raced greenly in the process. Should improve from the experience. – Mike Welsch

3:10 AQU 7th SYNTHESIS (#2, 15-1) had a nice run of form going early this year before tailing off over the summer when sent out of town; like that he has been given some time to regroup, and he returns with some class relief for Jacobson; not putting too much stock into the recent lack of wins, as he has been keeping much tougher company, and has been holding his own for the most part; can be forwardly placed and is a strong contender with one of his better efforts. – Mike Beer

3:20 WO 5th NORTHERN RUBY (#9, 10-1) ran wide and poorly while against a speed bias last time and attended a sleepy before fading the start before. The nine-time winner could get back on track as a longshot if things go her way. – Ron Gierkink

4:38 GP 9th CADRON SETTLEMENT (#7, 4-1) knocking on door against bottom level conditioned claimers and a bit of a hanging sort who might relish turn back to three quarter's, the distance at which he earned diploma this summer. – Mike Welsch

4:50 WO 8th ANAM CARA (#9, 12-1) rallied for third among the next-out winners Hot Cargo and Veery in her improved second try at this N1X/$32K class Oct. 12. She could prevail as a longshot with the capable Alderson replacing the injured Wilson. – Ron Gierkink

5:04 DMR 4th Five furlongs might be shorter than preferred for INNER BEAUTY (#5, 4-1), but the blinkers-on mare gets the call nonetheless in a competitive $25k claiming turf sprint. Third last out at six furlongs, she has a pressing style that should have her positioned just off the speed. Furthermore, her trainer is 8-for-24 with blinkers-on turf runners the past five years (4 for 8 in turf sprints). 'BEAUTY can win with a pressing trip. – Brad Free

7:03 DMR 8th ROYAL CHARTER (#1, 5-1) is back where she fits, in an allowance race after chasing stakes fillies her last two. Runner-up in a similar allowance turf route at DMR in summer, 'CHARTER has the type of closing style that won most turf routes the first two weeks of the autumn meet. – Brad Free
