Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
12:25 LRL 1st Looking for a fresh face and CHESAPEAKE STORM (#10, 15-1) figures a big price returning from a 119-day layoff after three Charles Town sprints. Her dam won two turf routes over this circuit and she hails from a European family full of grass influences. In against next-out winner Missing My Point (maiden special at Charles Town with 46 Beyer) in most recent try. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
1:24 GP 3rd GENERIC MARK (#8, 6-1) ran great off the long layoff and now connections want the Tapeta right back. Most runners improve the 2nd time they do anything. Tactical speed comes in handy today and we like today's placement. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
1:46 AQU 4th MISTER WINSTON (#7, 6-1) tried a longer route when switched back to dirt last time at Laurel and finished far behind that field after some early antics; never delivered on the early promise he showed for top connections early on, but there were some fast races in there and he is a new gelding taking the drop for the first time. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
2:15 AQU 5th KITTEN MISCHIEF (#11, 10-1) an Into Mischief homebred out of a dam who was a multiple Grade 3-winner on the grass; this is the female family of versatile graded winners Five Star Day and Marquetry, so he might be effective on the main track should this race get moved, and Thomas is reliable with first time starters. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
2:53 GP 6th HOTTER THAN JULY (#4, 7-2) is by a 24% debut sire (all sire stats are for 2YO's only). Her dam went 16-3-1-1 and earned 44K. One of two sibs won and is a multiple winner of 60K (35K when routing). Quick works at Palm Meadows is noted. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
3:09 LRL 6th GUNNISON (#4, 9-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Dan Illman). | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
3:13 AQU 7th TOWERING ORBIT (#4, 6-1) encountered trouble from the gate and was left chasing wide before tiring in his debut over a tough distance back in July; rebounded nicely when off to a better start to deny next-out winner I'm Perfect Too (80 Beyer) at Saratoga; well-bred filly has forward to go and does not appear to have landed in the toughest spot while facing winners for the first time. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
3:40 LRL 7th TIPSY TOURIST (#7, 10-1) might be a bit dirtied-up as she drops to the dime level for the first time. Perhaps overmatched in debut against Dulce Kiara (next-out "one-other-than" allowance winner at Delaware with 70 Beyer), she then caught a muddy track, ran two turns at Timonium and tried turf on two occasions. She does have some speed. Lopez departs both Tipsy Tourist and Can I Ever for Moon Biz. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
3:53 GP 8th PHARAOH'S PROPHECY (#8, 8-1) has improved his Beyer speed figure in every start. We like the switch from the turf to the synth. Medium layoff is fine for this barn at 17%. This colt broke his maiden for 35K yet returns to face winners in a spot where he can't be claimed. Works are perfect and win rider returns. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:00 DMR 2nd Only five runners, SIGNOFTHECROSS (#4, 4-1) may upset likely favorite KERSHAW. The last two starts by 'CROSS were double-digit losses, both with an alibi. Two back he did not handle turf; last out he was caught seven-wide the first turn, and never got involved. Now he is drawn only two stalls outside the only true front-runner, and should get a comfortable trip sitting second. He can get first turn if/when the pacesetter falters. -Brad Free | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:23 GP 9th LUIGI'S SPIRIT (#1, 15-1) is by a 11% debut sire. His dam went 11-2-4-1 and earned 74K. Of 9 sibs to race, 7 won with 6 having beat winners. This colt is bred to love routing with his 404 distance Tomlinson. This barn is 20% with debut maiden claimers. -Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:45 WO 1st WHO SAYS (#2, 6-1) is routing on the Tapeta for just the second time off a belated fourth going seven-eighths. She could put it all together at a square price with Wilson aboard. -Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
5:33 DMR 5th This turf sprint for 2yo maiden fillies is a split of race 1; PRETTY RENA (#6, 6-1) can upset likely favorite COMEDIC. Both ran well first out. Although the speed figure earned by 'RENA was below average, she actually ran well. She tucked in behind the pace, waited for room, split rivals in the lane and finished with run even though her past-performance line indicates she was losing ground. -Brad Free | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
8:07 RP 1st POINT TWO (#1, 4-1) returns to the overnight ranks following a stakes placing. As for the move to two turns, she has a nice foundation of races for the task. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
8:16 WO 8th FINAL STRIKE (#2, 4-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Ron Gierkink). | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
8:35 RP 2nd WITH THE BAND (#9, 5-1) ran a fine race on the cutback from two turns last out, finishing third to a winner who has since struck again. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
9:03 RP 3rd QUEENSCABALLO (#4, 5-1) launched her career with a late-running third and the effort suggests she will make good use of the added ground in this spot. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
9:31 RP 4th DAKOTA BROWNIE (#8, 6-1) was favored against similar last time and can make a real impact with a repeat of his effort from late September at Remington Park. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race | Bet this race with DRF Bets
