Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 1:27 LRL 3rd CARSONS COOL WOMEN (#6, 10-1) saved ground while racing far back over a very wet track at Penn National, split rivals turning for home, then got up for third behind the two favorites while besting Lastchance Romance (next-out 40 Beyer in dime maiden claimer there). Her lack of speed is worrisome, as she is dependent on pace and race luck, but she finds a good spot for her circuit debut for barn that went 3 for the last 12 (25%, $5.13 ROI) with second-time Lasix runners. -Dan Illman | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:11 GP 3rd BLAZING TYREEK (#6, 6-1), reportedly gelded since last outing just a couple of weeks ago, steps up in price but looks loose on an easy lead in this spot. Third could prove the charm. -Mike Welsch | Bet this race with DRF Bets 2:51 TAM 6th MIA'S CAT (#8, 12-1) faded after stalking the pace in a closer-friendly race in a sprint last time out, and though she was off the board two back she may have been hurt by a lack of pace there; worth a shot at a price. -Kenny Peck | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:09 GP 5th SUGAR TREAT (#3, 9-2) getting some class relief dropping into this spot and did not run that badly last time over the surface when fourth behind a couple of talented rivals, Karaya, who had won three straight before finishing second last out in Melody of Colors S. and epona's Hope, who came back to win an N1X Fla. bred allowance event off the race. -Mike Welsch | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:22 TAM 7th LAST RUN (#9, 10-1) rallied with interest when last on the turf, two back, and he returned to run a strong race for the place last time over Gulfstream's synthetic strip; his Beyers are a little light but this is only his third start on the grass and he has lots of room to improve. -Kenny Peck | Bet this race with DRF Bets 3:52 TAM 8th TRIPULANTE (#1, 7-2) benefited from a perfect stalking trip in his latest, and though he goes longer today he has had success at this distance as well; inside post and tactical speed should mean favorable early position once again. -Kenny Peck | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:00 SA 1st CONTROL FUNCTION (#2, 4-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Brad Free). | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:09 GP 7th JABRAN (#1, 9-2) an easy maiden winner turning back to a sprint in latest and continues to train forwardly over the surface exiting that effort. Must avoid potential early duel with Breezer/and or Ellie's Boyfriend. -Mike Welsch | Bet this race with DRF Bets 4:22 TAM 9th ENGLISH JUBILEE (#7, 10-1) is making her seasonal debut for trainer Mark Casse, her first start since October, but she fits with these if she's ready to roll; she was off the board in both of her two turf starts to date but that debut try was probably too short for her, and she didn't get any pace help in her most recent. -Kenny Peck | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:02 AQU 8th QUICK HAMMER (#3, 10-1) was part of a four-way contested pace when defeated as the favorite in his return to NY at the end of December, and he has faced sharp winners in all three starts since, including that last one when fading behind class-dropping Mandatory (99 Beyer); one more chance dropping down as a new gelding. -Mike Beer | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:07 GP 9th PALMETTO FURY (#2, 4-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Welsch). | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:11 LRL 10th AEQUOR (#5, 6-1), listed as a Laurel vet scratch on 10/28, an Aqueduct vet scratch on 11/26, and a Laurel vet scratch on 3/8, returns from 175-day layoff for a barn that usually gives them a race or two before they find their best form. In tough two back against first-level allowance foes, then couldn't rally over speed-friendly track on 10/6 (Grand Wiser then won an allowance at Penn National with an 83 Beyer). He won his last two when offered for a tag, and can offer up a late kick. -Dan Illman | Bet this race with DRF Bets 5:55 OP 9th O P FIRECRACKER (#3, 10-1) is appealing for the company he has kept and the fact that he's run well at the mile and a half trip of the Temperence Hill. On a few pedigree points, his sire won over a mile and a quarter in the Travers and his dam was a Grade 3-placed runner who overall won 3 races and earned $174K. -Mary Rampellini | Bet this race with DRF Bets 6:20 GG 4th FAYRUZ TRIBUTE (#6, 7-2) will race for the first time at a mile in his second start in this $20,000 claimer for maidens with a few things in his favor. Fayruz Tribute is trained by Andy Mathis, who does exceptionally well with second-time runners. Mathis has won with three of his last 10 such runners since late December. Last summer and fall, Mathis won with four consecutive second-time starters. Fayruz Tribute is out of So Golden, who won at a mile. -Steve Andersen | Bet this race with DRF Bets 6:52 GG 5th The closer HONORABLE GAL (#3, 4-1) should have a raucous pace to follow in this conditional $20,000 claimer at 5 1-2 furlongs. Honorable Gal benefited by following a rapid pace in a starter allowance on Feb. 24, reaching the front in the final strides. Runners such as Elegant Sway, MAGIC CHROME and LADY GREGORY are capable of setting quick fractions in this field of six. -Steve Andersen | Bet this race with DRF Bets 7:24 GG 6th JERSEY BABE (#7, 8-1) tends to run near the front, and likely will need to be positioned as a stalker to win this conditional $5,000 claimer at six furlongs. Runners such as Elcondor and DRIVER'S ED are quick enough to set a rapid pace that will help Jersey Babe, who starts from the outside in a field of seven. If the pacesetters fade, Jersey Babe will be the beneficiary. -Steve Andersen | Bet this race with DRF Bets
