DRF's Horse Racing Playbook for Friday, March 10, 2023

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook; something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day's action.
12:40 GP 1st WITCHING HOUR (#2, 15-1) among the many potential contenders in the opener. Dons shades, finally gets on the grass, drops in company, looks loose on the lead. Enough to take a chance at what figures to be honest price. – Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race
2:08 GP 4th TIGER PAW (#7, 20-1) suffered through just a brutal trip following poor start in local bow and deserving of a second chance at what figures to be another square price. Zayas takes the call. Expect big improvement if away with the field. – Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race
2:20 AQU 3rd WILED BANKER (#7, 4-1) scored over this track and trip off the claim in December with a 79 Beyer; stretches back out for this and lands in a race that has a chance to get competitive early, which plays to his tactical style. – Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race
3:17 OP 4th MOJO MAN (#3, 6-1) cuts back to one turn and his last two wins on form came at this six furlong trip. Those victories also came against steeper. – Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race
4:07 GP 8th DR ZEMPF (#2, 3-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Welsch). | Get PPs for this race
4:28 AQU 7th GOLDEN CODE (#2, 8-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Beer). | Get PPs for this race
4:59 AQU 8th THE COBBLER (#2, 4-1) ran well to win his debut clear with a competitive figure, then managed just one additional start before going away for a long time; good effort when returned from that long layoff as he just missed after being forced to try to rally along the rail in the stretch; back down in class after getting in way too tough last time going a mile. – Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race
6:09 SA 6th The seventh-place debut by WINDOW SHOPPING (#9, 4-1) was better than her finish position; the second-start filly can win this maiden turf mile making her first start in nearly four months. In her debut, she was squeezed the break and shuffled to last, stuck in heavy traffic on the far turn, finished with run and galloped out well. That was way back in November, but her recent works suggest she can fire first start back. - Brad Free | Get PPs for this race
