Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook; something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day's action.
1: 20 GP 2nd WINNING AT EASE (#4, 15-1) drops to bottom, looks loose on the lead stretching back around two turns, finished in front of logical one Take the Podium when pair last met earlier this season. – Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race
2:00 MTH 1st FOREST SURVIVOR (#7, 6-1) returns to the grass in his first start off the Wayne Potts claim and this may be his best game; off the board in his lone grass try showing in pp lines but his prior tries on the green were better, as he consistently posted Beyers in the mid-to-high 70's. – Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race
2:07 BEL 3rd SPELL ON YOU (#2, 5-1) a firster by Curlin and a half-sister to undefeated Triple Crown winner Justify; will have to be fit to get a mile on debut but appears to be training well for an excellent first-out barn, and he lands in a field where none of her experienced rivals have come close to par for this kind of race. – Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race
2:38 BEL 4th DASHING DELLA (#4, 6-1) looked good breaking her maiden on the front-end going this distance back in April, then came right back to run well again in her next start vs. much better horses; finally drops back down after trying turf to no avail last time while also in way over her head. – Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race
3:24 MTH 4th FRENCHY DEPARTED (#7, 6-1) races on dirt for the first time but both of his two siblings posted their lone career wins on the main track, and trainer Jose Camejo wins at 19% with runners moving from the grass to dirt; he's a stone closer who needs pace but if he gets it he is eligible to make the last run. – Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race
3:42 BEL 6th DREAMING OF CARLI (#11, 8-1) went short on debut and did not get a great trip in that race while ridden conservatively and winding up blocked at a crucial point in the stretch; has to stretch out from a difficult outside post but she might be a lot better than that first one makes her look. | Get PPs for this race
3:54 GP 7th KHOSEA (#4, 8-1) certainly hard to knock in current form. Repeat of last should be good enough to take another despite the jump into starter company. – Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race
5:01 WO 8th SOUPER RIVER (#3, 4-1) went three-wide on the turn before weakening to fourth behind two next-out winners in his encouraging season opener. Wilson takes over and the hot second-leading rider is 3 for 8 at the meet for Buttigieg. – Ron Gierkink | Get PPs for this race
