Debra A. Roma First post for Saratoga racing is scheduled for 1:10 p.m. ET on Friday.

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.

1:05 CNL 2nd KEYS (#6, 6-1) will make her debut for Casse with plenty of upside, as she has been prepping at Colonial for nearly a month ahead of this debut; sire Upstart wins with 17% of juvenile firsters and has naturally passed down plenty of ability in dirt sprints; the dam Street Minstrel was a talented but lightly raced allowance runner at Oaklawn and has since produced the Grade 1 winner Street Band, as well as stakes winner Henro and three-time turf winner Trobairitz; a lot to like about the $150,000 purchase. – Patrick Moquin | Get Past Performances for this race

2:34 CNL 5th K. C. CHIEF (#3, 5-1) might not take this trip to Colonial, but the gelding has improved in each start since returning from a long layoff in May for D'Angelo; the gelding has only handled turf a handful of times in his career and didn't appreciate it at all fresh off the break this year, but he has improved on synthetic and might have needed that start; if he can't handle the grass, he doesn't have to come here. – Patrick Moquin | Get Past Performances for this race

2:39 WO 4th ROYAL QUALITY (#6, 6-1) placed in both of his seven-furlong starts at the meet and might enjoy the stretch-out to route while getting some class relief. Apprentice Blackett was aboard for his second behind a gate-to-wire winner two back. – Ron Gierkink | Get Past Performances for this race

3:28 SAR 5th COURTLY BANKER (#8, 5-1) turned back effectively here last summer to finish second behind a repeat winner early in the meet, then returned a month later to crush a field over course and distance with an 89 Beyer; dueled and tired in a field of hard-hitting turf sprinters at Gulfsteam two back, then was no match for stakes horses last time; steps back in class to make his second start off the layoff. – Mike Beer | Get Past Performances for this race

4:04 SAR 6th RIGHT TO VOTE (#2, 5-1) shaped with potential early on, before enduring a long layoff after just his fourth career start; he ran well in his first start back from that extended break, then handled added ground last time when staying gamely to close down the embattled leaders going this distance; still has room to improve, and just takes the next logical step. – Mike Beer | Get Past Performances for this race

4:45 MTH 6th SWEET SCIENCE (#7, 8-1) is a poke at a price, as though she was off the board in both of her two starts to date she did have a race flow excuse in her debut, when off the pace in a race where the speeds held the edge (note the "S" symbol in DRF pp line), and a slow break cost her in her next start; she's been away but trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. wins at a solid 24% with horses off this type of layoff and she figures to offer some value. – Kenny Peck | Get Past Performances for this race

6:19 SAR 10th KAY ROAD (#10, 6-1) was okay in her first couple of starts sprinting, then was stuck outside chasing over a track that featured a strong rail in February; caught wet tracks in her first two starts back while looking for the right level; went to Finger Lakes to finally get breakthrough, but she looked good winning that race back over fast dirt, and she doesn't looked overmatched by this field. – Mike Beer | Get Past Performances for this race
