Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.
12:10 GP 1st POWER OF JUSTICE (#2, 5-1) worked well but got a pretty eventful trip following slow start in debut. Kin to G1 winner Magnum Moon gets a mulligan, deserves second chance back on sod with same kind. – Mike Welsch | Bet this race with DRF Bets
12:33 TAM 1st FACE VALUE (#7, 12-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers). | Bet this race with DRF Bets
12:39 GP 2nd KUWAIT TOWERS (#9, 8-1) showed some early run despite being compromised after getting hung wide around club turn from tough post. Hung in there for six furlongs before succumbing to impossible trip against a ton better than he faces on drop to this spot. Paco stays. Expect major improvement at a square price. – Mike Welsch | Bet this race with DRF Bets
1:18 AQU 2nd HYDRA (#6, 6-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Beer). | Bet this race with DRF Bets
1:47 AQU 3rd LOVE THYSELF (#7, 12-1) stretched out to this distance last time on the drop, where she wound up wide and contesting the pace all the way and tired in the stretch behind a blowout winner; also finished well back in the field in her prior two dirt starts, though she faced much better horses in those races; Lasix on looking for a better trip. – Mike Beer | Bet this race with DRF Bets
2:05 TAM 4th MALIBU BRAD (#9, 12-1) has improved his Beyer speed figure in every start. He goes second time this dirt which is a plus. His last race came back key when 3 of 5 returned to win with figs of 63, 62, and 68. He draws outside and gets first Lasix all with two recent works in tow. – Scott Ehlers | Bet this race with DRF Bets
3:04 TAM 6th TIKI BAR (#7, 5-1) is feeling great and now strings three races together. She is proven on this dirt and has some tactical speed. She draws best with this outside draw and keeps her win rider. Alas, this barn is only 5% with horses that won their last race. – Scott Ehlers | Bet this race with DRF Bets
4:07 GP 9th The "all" button may turn out to be ones best friend in the finale. KAP HOORN (#3, 8-1) as good as any getting ample class relief stretching out, switching to synthetic after slow start vs. much stronger in debut. Zayas stays for main man Joseph. – Mike Welsch | Bet this race with DRF Bets
5:36 SA 5th Blinkers-on, turf-to-dirt, route-to-sprint JAZZY BOO (#3, 4-1) can score an off-the-pace upset in this modest Cal-bred maiden-50 sprint. Claimed from a sixth-place finish for $20k in late 2022, 'BOO did not have a fair shot either start since returning. She was overmatched in a MSW sprint, and also in a Cal-bred turf route. Now she returns to a dirt sprint and runs at a level still well above her claim price. She is being optimistically managed by the meet's co-leading trainer. Mark Glatt-trained maidens making their third start off a layoff of six months or more are 7-for-17 the past five years. 'BOO can outrun her odds rallying from behind. – Brad Free | Bet this race with DRF Bets
