Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action. 12:56 LRL 2nd LADY JEAN (#5, 5-1) was taken in hand in the early going, tracked in between horses after a half-mile, cruised in behind rivals on the turn, split foes three wide in upper stretch, then finished evenly in the lane. She returns off the claim on short notice for underrated barn that is 3 for the last 12 (25%, $4.55 ROI) wheeling back in a week or less. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  1:16 TAM 2nd SUNNY SAINT (#6, 8-1) drops from open $10K claimers, and though he was off the board in all three of his starts at the meet he was against the race flow in his only route try, three back; showed some late interest in that last one but he should be close-up from the start today on the move back to two turns. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  1:20 AQU 2nd GENTLEMAN JOE (#7, 9-2) rated back early and couldn't make an impact in a pace-dominated race vs. better last time; backclasser drops slightly and projects to have a better setup this time. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  1:30 OP 1st CASH ROCKET (#1, 7-2) is moving back to the mile and an eighth distance of his most recent win. It came on turf, but he's run competitive races on the main track. -Mary Rampellini | Get PPs for this race  2:08 GP 5th URANIUM (#8, 3-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Welsch). | Get PPs for this race  2:20 AQU 4th BON ADIEU (#4, 4-1) caught a wet track in that first one and failed to do much running despite taking a little money; bred to get better with distance and experience for a trainer who has excellent numbers with second-time starting maidens in dirt sprints (8 for his last 27, 30%, $2.47 ROI). -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race 3:24 LRL 7th THE SICARII (#9, 5-1) stumbled leaving the gate on New Year's Day, raced outside at the back, split horses, eased out in the stretch, and showed a hint of late interest. The third-finisher from that heat returned to win a first-level allowance at Charles Town with an 80 Beyer. Barn went 5 for 15 (33%, $3.48 ROI) between 1/13 and 2/5. Rodriguez departs for Glory Song. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  3:51 LRL 8th WATCH YOUR TONE (#4, 5-1) was held up behind a slow pace in first start after 70 days on the sidelines, swung outside turning into the stretch, then finished evenly with a solid gallop out. She improved 10 points on the Beyer scale in second start off an identical layoff at Pimlico, and goes out for barn that went 4 for the last 14 (29%, $2.44 ROI) with horses going second off two- to four- month layoffs on dirt. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race  4:06 GP 9th MR. RHODIUM (#1, 6-1) victimized by unlucky starts in both previous starts but went back to the gate to post bullet drill prepping for 3yo bow. Gets Lasix, might prove upset threat if taking to the Tapeta. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race 4:15 TAM 8th SMART AS ME (#7, 7-2) was the best horse in the race in his latest but he did come in and impede rivals in the lane, and had to be taken down; he caught the eye two back with a strong gallop out after encountering some traffic trouble in the lane but he should be tough to beat today given some racing luck. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  4:20 LRL 9th ICESTORMING (#2, 6-1) lightly brushed the gate at the break last time, then pressed a four-ply pace scrum along the inside before being outpaced into the pocket entering the turn. Placed on a hard chase after odds-on, gate-to-wire winner Willful Desire, she finished willingly outside that one to be second best. Figures to show speed from the opening bell for barn that scored with fellow "second-time Lasix" performer Jimmydabook (5-1 odds) in a maiden claimer on 2/4. -Dan Illman | Get PPs for this race 4:26 AQU 8th MORE GRAYTFUL (#3, 6-1) is going to need to get back to his good race in order to contend with this field but he might rate the benefit of the doubt for that last one while off the long layoff vs. a very tough field and forced to chase; not overmatched here if he can still run and he does not need the lead to be effective. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  4:33 SA 3rd BLUEGRASS LUTE (#7, 4-1) returns to the short game; his debut fifth on dirt in fall would probably be fast enough to win this maiden-62.5k turf sprint. His pedigree is acceptable for turf; he adds Lasix. -Brad Free | Get PPs for this race 4:45 TAM 9th ENGLISH LAUGHTER (#11, 8-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Kenny Peck). | Get PPs for this race  7:38 SA 9th Deep closer MAMBA COOL (#1, 5-1) meets a field with enough pace to flatter his closing rally. This is his first start in five months; he won a maiden turf mile here last spring returning from a layoff of more than a year. The 1-for-10 closer can sit, wait and blast home for the win. -Brad Free | Get PPs for this race  7:53 GG 8th A major class drop, from a maiden race to this $12,500 claimer for maidens, can provide a breakthrough for SASSY TINKERBELL (#5, 6-1) in her fifth start. She was fifth by 1 3-4 lengths after a troubled trip in a $25,000 claimer for maidens on Dec. 2, but did not run as well in the maiden race at a mile on Jan. 13. This $12,500 claimer at six furlongs appears to be a better option. -Steve Andersen | Get PPs for this race
