1:00 WO 1st PRIVATE LABEL (#3, 6-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Ron Gierkink). | Get Past Performances for this race
1:32 WO 2nd BLONDINA'S BOY (#2, 10-1) tracked the leaders from a three-wide position before fading to sixth over an inside-biased track when plunging to this $7.5K conditioned class two weeks ago. He could prevail at a square price this time if things go his way. - Ron Gierkink | Get Past Performances for this race
1:35 CNL 3rd DOLCE FAR NIENTE (#5, 6-1) is one of two firsters entered by Trombetta and will get Lopez in the saddle for his debut: sire Vino Rosso does not pass down notable precocity and this will be the dam's first starter, but the colt has been training steadily at Fair Hill and is probably best suited for dirt. - Patrick Moquin | Get Past Performances for this race
2:18 SAR 3rd ROMALA (#1, 6-1) looked like she needed the debut late last year when off to a troubled start before winding up wide, and eventually getting tired; was rank and headstrong for a long way before finally giving up in the stretch on turf last time; back to dirt with plenty of room to improve. - Mike Beer | Get Past Performances for this race
2:34 CNL 5th FLAMENCO (#2, 9-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Patrick Moquin). | Get Past Performances for this race
3:11 MTH 3rd FOGGY NOTE (#3, 3-1) has been running on the main track for some time and she ran well in defeat in both of her two starts since returning from the freshening but she was a solid 3rd in her only turf/sprint try to date, back in June of 2025, when she closed nicely after racing behind them all entering the stretch; she'll need some help from the pacesetters but there does seem to be enough pace in this field to set up a closer. -Kenny Peck
4:17 MTH 5th This turf sprint is oddly light on early speed, and that should work to the advantage of a filly like APRIL SPUN (#6, 4-1), who doesn't necessarily need to be on the front, but she would benefit from a forward trip if the pace is controlled; she was off the board when last seen but that was no easy trip and she ran well in defeat in her previous turf sprint tries. - Kenny Peck | Get Past Performances for this race
4:18 WO 7th MARSHALLTOWN (#3, 6-1) is by champion sprinter Mitole, who has sired 12% debut winners along with Woodbine Tapeta stakes winner Stormcast. His dam was a stakes-winning grasser who banked $232K and she produced two $100K+ earners. Two of his half-mile works were quick and he doesn't have much to beat in this $10K seller. - Ron Gierkink | Get Past Performances for this race
5:09 SAR 8th LIL' REGARD (#5, 12-1) impressed winning the first two starts of her career on either side of a long layoff; missed more time before starting back this year, where she chased an underrated winner to no avail, before getting tired late; she was claimed from that race, then had her first start for the new connections rained off the grass; back to turf with room to improve, and she showed potential early on. - Mike Beer | Get Past Performances for this race
5:44 SAR 9th NEW YORK SPECIAL (#6, 12-1) didn't run poorly when making her career debut on dirt. She does have a lot of turf in her pedigree, so no surprise that she would improve right away when switching surfaces for her second start, where she sat a good trip before finishing gamely up the inside; good try in a stakes race last time, though worth noting that the two favorites were no-shows in that spot; will have to improve again on dirt, though she does seem a likely candidate to get the distance, which is going to be key in this race. - Mike Beer | Get Past Performances for this race
6:19 SAR 10th COACH OF THE YEAR (#8, 9-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Beer). | Get Past Performances for this race
7:36 DMR 6th FOR ALL MANKIND (#3, 6-1) meets easier than last month, when he produced speed and retreated in a N2X/classified/optional $100k claiming. He was simply overmatched. But his runner-up finishes two and three starts back at Lone Star and SA earned figures plenty fast enough for this $40k claiming sprint. 'MANKIND has speed to press the pace likely to be contested by the entrants in posts 1-2; if he runs to his springtime form he can handle this easier group with a pressing trip. - Brad Free | Get Past Performances for this race
8:35 DMR 8th POPPI'S CHARLIE (#2, 5-1) gate to wire? The 2yo showed speed both starts against Cal-bred MSW foes this spring at SA; he tired in both. Now he has a two-month freshening between starts, drops to $50k maiden-claiming, and might be the speed of the field. - Brad Free | Get Past Performances for this race
10:30 RP 6th SAND CREEK (#5, 6-1) was behind a couple of these same runners when last seen but he was at a tactical disadvantage as a stalker/closer in that speed-deprived field, just as he was in his prior tries; he should get an improved pace scenario in this one and he can turn the tables and spring the upset if he gets a quick, contested pace to chase. - Kenny Peck | Get Past Performances for this race
11:24 RP 8th JEWLZ (#8, 12-1) turfed in her latest but she won her last two starts on the main track, and though she benefited from ideal trips in both of those wins that's a product of her tactical speed, which enables her to get position regardless of the race flow; there's hardly a plethora of early foot in this sprint and she should once again benefit from a forward trip. - Kenny Peck | Get Past Performances for this race
11:51 RP 9th HIGH FRONT (#7, 6-1) tried rallying up the rail in that last one and he did well to finish within a length of the winner, a head behind Jackman's Ride, who set the pace on a loose lead; there is other speed in this field, which could mean HIGH FRONT gets a fast, contested pace to chase, a scenario that would certainly move him up in his third start off the layoff. - Kenny Peck | Get Past Performances for this race
