Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook; something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day's action. 12:20 TAM 1st CREATIVE CHOICE (#4, 15-1) has been idle since December but while that last effort doesn't inspire confidence he did have subtle trouble there, in the early stages, when he seemed to check in the early stages; dangerous given a clean trip and a forward trip. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  12:40 GP 1st Going for some gusto in opener and trying either OLYMPIC ARTIST (#7, 15-1) and ROYAL BLOOD (#6, 5-1) at big prices to get things rolling for the day. Former showed big speed before taking up sharply in debut, broke slow and seemed to lose interest at second asking. Returns for a tag with blinkers on. Expecting best yet. ROYAL BLOOD also broke slow and raced wide in her first start while not badly beaten for second money in the process. Also gets a little class relief getting price on head for first time. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race  1:32 KEE 2nd STUNNINGLY (#7, 10-1) might have enough speed to claim a clear early lead in a race where those that've run haven't shown a lot of pace. She was ready to run early, debuting July 4 of her 2yo season, but maybe wasn't truly ready to be a racehorse at age 2? Long string of drills, many fast, for the Asmussen barn. Will she really be 10-1? -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race 1:42 GP 3rd CORDUROY ROAD (#3, 9-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Welsch). | Get PPs for this race  1:52 AQU 2nd ANISTON (#3, 9-2) was last seen bombing in the Busanda going longer while right off her maiden win; almost looked like something was amiss there and she returns with Lasix on looking to build on that easy win two back where she finished strongly once getting through on the rail. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  2:04 KEE 3rd MUSTANG LADY (#4, 8-1) tried routes, sprints, and a one-turn mile, and turf, dirt, and Tapeta all during her 2-year-old campaign. Parse the form and --- she's not bad! Not an easy trip in the G1 Alcibiades over this strip, and she had a lot of ground to close cutting back to the sloppy CD one-turn mile. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race  2:12 GP 4th CHAPLIN (#3, 10-1) chased then took a run at odds on favorite Etnico before fading badly while taking some money at first asking now switches to grass, shortens up in distance, might just stand some catching at a decent price if taking to the surface, shaking loose with these. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race 2:30 TAM 5th I'M A CUTIE (#6, 15-1) was caught up in a three-way duel in that sprint two back, and the top three finishers were 9th-8th-7th at the first call, which is why the DRF running line contains an inverted "C", designating the race flow as one that favored Closers; latest looked like a failed attempt at rating off the pace, and though she switches to the turf today she ran well in her lone try on this surface back in September, when she blew the turn badly yet just missed despite finishing a path or two off the outer rail. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race  2:36 KEE 4th Don't see why CAMP HOPE (#2, 8-1), given a decent trip, can't run his KEE turf record to 4-4. The two starts this winter were his first over a synthetic surface, and he's probably just not as good on Tapeta as grass. Three back in his 2022 finale he failed to stay 12 furlongs in the Louisville. This 1 1/16-mile trip is within his scope, he has some positional pace, and this is the rider who's done the best work with the horse. -Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race 2:56 AQU 4th TWENTY SIX BLACK (#3, 9-2) is a DRF Best Bet (Mike Beer). | Get PPs for this race  3:35 TAM 7th LUCKY DAY A'COMIN (#2, 8-1) broke a step slowly in that turf debut, then made a mid-race run to try to get into contention, only to flatten out in the late stages; has lots of room to improve today given some more racing luck, and with that race under his belt, as this marks his second start off the three-month break. -Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race 4:34 AQU 7th PASS THE CHAMPAGNE (#1, 7-2) has struggled to stay on the track since a promising start to her career but is back in regular racing now and showed that she can still run when taking a tough beat in the Wayward Lass off the long layoff in January; was a bit disappointing last time when cut back to this distance but she worked hard in that race to gain forward position after a bump a the start, and only weakened late; at the right distance and she has speed from the rail. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  4:48 GP 9th IMPETUOUS SOUL (#8, 5-1) sitting on a win with this kind. Should sit the right trip just off and outside the early speed. -Mike Welsch | Get PPs for this race  5:06 AQU 8th GEM MINT TEN (#3, 5-1) got bet for his debut in January but wound up chasing over a wet track and weakened late; tried to get a mile last time and wound up being no match despite a good trip; cuts back and switches to turf with pedigree to handle this surface switch. -Mike Beer | Get PPs for this race  7:15 GG 6th TEX HANLEY (#6, 4-1) is a danger in the $12,500 claimer for non-winners of two from a stalking position. The 4-year-old gelding beat maidens in a $16,000 claimer with that style on Jan. 13 and has since finished third in his first two starts against winners. He has shown slight improvement in recent races, measured by his Beyer Speed Figures, to merit the top choice in a field of seven. -Steve Andersen | Get PPs for this race  7:45 GG 7th IDAHO ONCE (#6, 5-1) ran a game second in his 2023 debut in an optional claimer at six furlongs on March 17, finishing well behind the 2022 stakes winner Clovisconnection, who was favored. Idaho Once has since worked a fine half-mile in 48.40 seconds for trainer Victor Trujillo for this optional claimer in which is eligible to be claimed for $50,000. -Steve Andersen | Get PPs for this race
