Coady Media First post for Churchill Downs racing is scheduled for 12:45 p.m. ET on Friday.

Daily Racing Form has served as the most trusted source of news and information about the sport since 1894, and moving forward we have decided to provide a free daily playbook – something that both hardcore horseplayers and casual observers can reference to get informed of each day’s action.

12:20 GP 1st MY MOM FOREVER (#7, 10-1) did little in his debut but did get some play when sent off at 6-1. Team Alter are 2 for 5 with their 2nd time maidens. This is dam's first foal so no help there. This colt draws more outside today and drops a notch and that rounds out the appeal. – Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race

12:52 GP 2nd NEVER A DOUBT (#1, 8-1) is by a 12% debut sire (all sire stats are for 2YO's only). His dam went 14-0-3-0 and earned 13K. Of 7 sibs to race, 6 won with 5 having beat winners. The best earned 299K. We spy three sibs that won their 2YO debut. Works are solid. – Scott Ehlers | Get PPs for this race

1:15 CD 2nd Look at the way PATTY CAKES (#5, 9-2) ran going this 6f distance 11/18/25 at PARX - she definitely handles the distance under the right circumstances. Could we be a little better out of the gate? Maybe? D Jacobson cut her back to a sprint last time to no great effect - bet she does better second time sprinting. – Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race

1:54 CNL 4th ROYAL COMPANION (#3, 6-1) is a first starter out of a dam who produced Virginia Gentry, who won once and earned over $16K, but while the pedigree may lack punch this filly has shown some speed in her morning works; connections only add to the appeal. – Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race

2:47 CD 5th FLIP FOR BLIP (#2, 15-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Marcus Hersh). | Get PPs for this race

3:25 CNL 7th CAIRO STREET (#4, 15-1) is undefeated over this course, and she makes her third start off the layoff after she finished well enough in the latest to get the show; figures to be overlooked some in the wagering but she has run Beyers on the turf that put her in the middle of this. – Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race

3:25 MTH 4th HARD LUCK WOMAN's (#6, 6-1) dam posted her lone career win in a dirt sprint and she produced a two-time winner from a pair pf starters, Sarir, who earned nearly $237K; this filly is one of two from trainer Kathleen DeMasi, who also sends out fellow firster INTOTHEMYSTIC. – Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race

3:31 GP 7th GOLDENTOWN (#1, 5-1) is a DRF Best Bet (Scott Ehlers). | Get PPs for this race

3:53 CD 7th Feel kind of bad for connections with only a handful of horses losing CLOUD NUMBER NINE (#5, 12-1) for $20K last out just when she finally seemed to put everything together - but that is just the nature of claiming generally and entering aggressively to win particularly. Believe she will at least continue in that form and has a chance to go even a notch higher right now. Handles a wet track and got the wrong trip in her last try over one. – Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race

5:20 MTH 8th ENDURING ANGEL (#4, 9-2) missed by less than a length in his grass debut last time out and he was visually impressive in defeat, as he was clearly moving best of all through the lane, and he galloped out in front after the wire; thinking he can make the last run in this nightcap if he can get going a little earlier. – Kenny Peck | Get PPs for this race

5:28 CD 10th EXTENSIVE's (#2, 6-1) 7f comeback start from a long layoff last out went about as you'd expect for a route horse shaking off rust and prepping for a two-turn contest. He worked back once after his Gold Cup - not a bad performance there, but really unusure he actually "ran his race" that day. Has kind of a funny way of going - but once he does get going, its effective. Strong major work for this in company with talented 3yo Stark Contrast. The X factor would be a wet track. Not only has never raced on one, he has never, through an extensive breeze history (20 timed works before his debut) even worked on one. – Marcus Hersh | Get PPs for this race
